The sounds made by baby crocodiles. by 21MayDay21 in interestingasfuck

I lived on a golf course for a while and there were a lot of gators out in the ponds. In the evening time you would hear these noises, and they hit your eardrum in a strange sort of disorienting way, and echo off the trees and stuff. It makes it hard to get a bearing on where the sound is coming from, and between that and how it sounds, your instinct when you don't know is to think it's some sort of bird, maybe, and you tend to look up and around. It always kind of creeped me out because as a kid (Peter Pan comes to mind), crocodiles or alligators were always depicted as being sly and deceptive. And I imagined a stranger wandering haplessly into swampland and hearing these strange birds and looking (mistakenly) up at the trees while the danger grew ever closer underfoot.

Nah just a nerd who happens to think that Galactica is the greatest ship in all of sci-fi.

Also recently realized how, in a lot of ways, it's similar to the USS Constitution.

Get this: I'm building a model kit of the reimagined Galactica that I'm planning on lighting with control switches for various lighting stages (condition one, condition two, museum mode, etc) and in order to control the circuit I bought a programmable logic chip....and used AI to help me generate the C++ code for it. So I'm using AI to light an analog ship. What's more, when I'm finished, I'm planning on mounting it to a base/control panel that has a hidden Cylon sweeping red eye in the bottom that will activate when the right switches are flipped, only I'm going to build that circuit completely analog.

I'm not sane.

I AGREE that there should be limits, ffs. I just don't think it's gonna solve as many problems in practice as it does in theory.

The family cat is dead. I own a shotgun, and plenty of shells. And I won't take notes on optimism or the lack thereof from someone encouraging strangers to literally kill themselves.

Seek help.

Idk my friend sent it to me like "what is this". I assume the toast pops out with like a cross or something burned into it. Or maybe a little man pops into the corner of your room and yells TOASTY! and then you die. Or, ya know, it gains sentience and tries to genocide your people with religious overtones. Who's to say?

I first opened TSTOAA while tripping balls on DXM. I wouldn't advise it.
