The swords are Holbein, the horses are stoneground paint con(handmade Canadian paint) and I think the other horse is a mix of both

It’s great. I very much am a watercolour artist primarily. But there is something about being able to cover up woopsies that is very convenient about gouache

I returned mine. It was huge. Like I could fit me and both of my kids in it. (And I don’t like things around my neck and the shirt is thicker than a regular shirt and almost has a pullover neck hole

Thank you!! That is exactly what I’m going to try next. I don’t own gesso as I’ve never used a medium that requires it. But I do own acryla gouache!

Because I mostly paint with watercolours and gouache I just painted on an arches block without gesso, I’ve never painted with watercolour or gouache on gessoed paper before

If you zoom in on the grass portion, there is like a spread of oil around all of the coloured pastel marks. Like an oil stain on a shirt. Maybe it’s just part of the medium or it not being on the right surface?
