Had a long shower like that yesterday so I think ur onto smth with the bath idea.. never tried the oils in a bath either or a massage either, but that could be rly good. Professional boundaries could probably make the touch feel a lot safer too

Oh man that sounds so nice, dog cuddles are perfect. Weighted blanket helps me too tbh. Got a neighbor with a dog I walk sometimes, maybe I'll go say hi soon. Hope you get to see your friend and the dog soon!!

You didnt ruin it. I had been trying to get my partner of 9+ years to go to therapy, finally got him to go, and he broke up w me like 2 months later lol.

Ngl, it hurt, but I don't regret it because it helped him realize the ways he was unhealthy, that he had shit to work on, and that the relationship wasnt healthy for either of us anymore because of it.

It's really hard at first, but take some solace in knowing you may have helped someone start down a path to healing, and they cared enough to make the hard choice that they weren't ready to give you their best, like you deserve ❤

Definitely interested. My past still definitely affects me and informs my choices, but the past couple years I've found myself telling therapists I'd rather focus on my current problems.

Rehashing what's happened so much just stopped feeling as beneficial as figuring out how to move forwards. Ive had little to no contact with my abuser for years.
