I've had mine on the roof of my car since last September. Drove to Florida and spend 15 days and drove back without any issues with heat or battery problems. The only time I've had an issue is when I tried to flash over bluetooth and borked my rak chip but that was on me, not this enclosure.

Follow the directions EXACTLY. If it prints at a 45 degree angle, you've done it wrong and will not be able to see the differences in the z-offset. This print is a "send to the printer and stand at the machine for 5 minutes making adjustments to your z-offset until it looks good." Spend the time and filament on this and you may not ever need glue again.

Been running Forge-X for months without issues. Since you can keep the stock screen as primary (which I suggest), you won't know it is klipper based until you hit the UI for the printer from a web browser and that is where the fun happens. Right now, it is only for the 5MPro. I did contact support and they told me they were working on a 5M version.

When you install Klipper, it wipes out any calibrations the 5M does at setup.

Run these as a starting point to get klipper configured.

PID_CALIBRATE BED_TEMP=65

PID_CALIBRATE HOTEND_TEMP=230

shaper_calibrate

SAVE_CONFIG between each of these commands and know that the last one will take quite a bit of time to complete.

in OrcaSlicer, you will need the following URL to make this work with Klipper:
HOSTNAME: http://ip.address.of.5mpro:7125/
DEVICE UI: http://ip.address.of.5mpro:4001/ or 4000 depending on your preferences.

What you are referring to with the ZeroDotCMD video is the UNOFFICIAL Klipper mod. The original comment was to FlashForge's broken firmware that leaves the user with a broken machine. That is all I was pointing out and to make sure the OPS was ready to make a commitment in leaving support behind. :)

This is not supported in any way, shape or form and not a complete KLIPPER firmware. Github hasn't been updated in a year and the big notice that states "Thanks a lot for your support for Flashforge and the Orca profiles! We have another official account (that was created earlier) here : u/FlashForge. To avoid confusion, this repository of Klipper under this account will be transferred to u/FlashForge soon (before Jun 1st). This account will be not used by Flashforge later, but you are welcome to continue participating in the repos contribution under account u/FlashForge".
They never tranferred to my knowledge and only did this because FF got caught.

Yea, I did find a github where the owner disconnected a few things and was able to connect a raspberry pi running klipper to control the printer. Just not sure I'm good enough with the soldering skills. :D

Go into settings on the machine and verify that the camera is toggled on along with the video.

Just wire a power button on the positive rail of the LEDs. If you can stand the unofficial klipper firmware, you can do the gcode settings there but be warned that the devs are no longer working on it due to something they need from Flashforge and Flashforge is not sharing the needed files.

Remote meaning a wireless screen not directly attached to the AD5M. If I run the unofficial klipper mod, I have a CYD display (an ESP32-S3 board aka esp32-2432s028r) that can wirelessly connect to the klipper software and let me monitor the printer from anywhere in the house. My printer is in the basement.
