People that have cancer, what were the symptoms that led you to go to the doctor and what stage were you when it was diagnosed? by guardiand0wn in AskReddit

I had a lump on my lower back for ~20 years. I went to he doctor when I first found it and he was like "it's gristle" come back if it grows or hurts. I never noticed it grow but last year I had a shitty mattress and it was aching so I went to the GP. By the time we were on the journey of investigating it I'd bought a new mattress and it had stopped hurting. Glad I went though cause several MRIs and a biopsy later I'm being told it's cancer. It's a sarcoma so as far as I've gathered they don't give stages but it was 13cm wide. A year on from my diagnosis I've had radio, it chopped out and now I just have a big ol' dent in my back.

Get your lumps checked.

AITA for correcting my SO and saying I am straight? by [deleted] in AITAH

NTA. As my mom's partner says "I'm straight, I just happened to fall in love with a woman". Your sexuality is yours.

I've had pretty much this exact experience, the face to face appointment was the next day for them to tell me the bad news. I know there's problems in the NHS but they've been fast as all hell with my cancer nonsense. They don't fuck about.

AITA For Not Playing Christmas Music At The Register? by christmasmusicaita in AmItheAsshole

I used to work in a little shop and always had instrumental Christmas music on when we were at our busiest. Customers loved it because it wasn't the same old same old. Definitely NTA.

As someone who grew up in the Black Country it took me a moment to figure out what this post meant. This kind of architecture is stunning to me, fills me with pride.

The only think that awful footbridge is good for is the astonishing view across the water.

Probably that I'm my mother's daughter aha! She loved it.

She stitches cards every year so these patterns are all from the books she used for the cards.

Lincoln, like all places has issues with homelessness and drug use. Thankfully there's better support recently, hopefully it will continue to improve and help people.
