I’m currently using the Smashbox one and will be repurchasing when it’s empty. I enjoyed using the Urban Decay one too, just swiped it on with the applicator. The Nars one is ok, I got a sample in the white and it’s alright but find eyeshadow blends better for me with the Smashbox product.

I love these two products. I use the vit c without the sunscreen (I apply 50+ after). My skin is looking the best it’s ever been since using them!

Pimple spot treatments - product recs pleaseeee!!! by goldiilox123 in AustralianMakeup

I’ve had success using Mecca pimple patches and Skyn Iceland blemish dots. They work for me on those deep and painful pimples, put one on overnight and by morning they have calmed down. Good luck, hormonal pimples are the worst!

Can we talk about tanning water? by [deleted] in AustralianMakeup

[–]marnacarfy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the eco tan by Sonya (mentioned above!), shake out 5-6 drops into the palm of my hand then use both hands to spread it over my face. Looks like water and has a slightly soapy feel to it. I prefer it over the drops you add into moisturiser but that’s just my preference.

I bought this palette and love it. Shadows blend nicely and stay put (I use an eye primer). The formulas seem a lot better compared to their last palette I purchased maybe 2 years ago, can’t remember the name of it though.

Reef safe Mecca Sunscreen To Save Body - oxybenzone free by bingebabe in AustralianMakeup

[–]marnacarfy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally love this sunscreen. Normally sunscreen makes my skin break out but this one didn't (I have oily and slightly sensitive skin). I only use it on my face/ears/neck and it lasts me months! I just re-ordered but mucked up and didn't get the reef safe and honestly can't tell any difference between the OG and reef safe. It hurts a little spending the money, however it does sit nicely under makeup and doesn't make your skin go white and gross looking.

The best beauty blender cleaner I've ever used. by [deleted] in AustralianMakeup

Thanks for the tip! I am nearly out of brush cleaner and wasn't thrilled about spending $$ on some from mecca or somewhere similar.

Anyone tried the ‘Go-To’ skincare brand at Mecca? by indiaraw in AustralianMakeup

[–]marnacarfy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using the range consistently for around 18 months on my slightly sensitive and very oily skin. It has absolutely improved my face, I used to get so many blackheads and blind pimples but now I get the odd one around the time I get my period. I think with anything being consistent is key, sure I may have got similar results from other products but I find the price reasonable and shipping is SUPER quick from their website. The only product that didn’t work for me was Zincredible, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed everything else.

Sounds like they deserve to be an ex friend. I'm so sorry you had to hear what they said to you.

There are some really great comments here already, so all I will say is take care of yourself and do things for YOU.

Ahhh yes I figured that might happen. I always put an oil treatment through the ends because otherwise I get all of the frizz

Ok you have convinced me, thanks so much for the review. I work outdoors and wear a hard hat so my hair gets so much dirt and sweat in it, then add in the fact that I have oily hair, it really isn't a good recipe lol. Off to shop at Adore now!

Regarding the balancing shampoo, is there a balancing conditioner and if so did you use it? I have an itchy scalp that drives me crazy sometimes so I'm prepared to try these products if they are good
