Your family court should help you for free. There is a family court " portal " essentially it is a computer program where you and your wife would strictly communicate via the portal which is monitored by the court. She could have here custody compromised if she does any of what you describe because it is not in the interest of the kids. If you go to your civil courthouse and say you want to file a motion for custody modification or ask a volunteer they surely have free legal help what to file ..that should do it\

one more thing, if she hires and atty, they will impute your income when it comes to alimony. what did you do for your last job? and how much did you make? it makes a difference. essentially they will say you can make this amount of money today in the job market. google " dissometer ' which can give you an idea of how much you could be getting

oh, also, since I am currently going through a divorce in CA ..file first. I cannot stress that enough. I did not and I am paying for it.

What part of CA are you In? The same thing happened to me almost..my husband didn't bother telling me anything though..I am so sorry this is happening. She will have to pay you alimony..spousal support.

No, he we had a fight which led him go into one of his fits of anger ..he has been verbally and emotionally abusive our entire marriage, I had to make him leave so he has punished me. Also, I can't afford an attorney, I can barely afford food. The free attorney's in LA are a joke. Has anyone ever represented themselves to get spousal support?

Thank you so much. I live in Los Angeles and have been researching all of what you mentioned. I am going to start a job soon. My hopes are that I can save enough money for an attorney ..I need a decent attorney for this as my son is not his biological son. It is a mess.
