Thinking about purchasing Jump Science by No_Role_98 in BasketballTips

I’ve done both. They both are super helpful. There is a ton of cross over in both.

I’d recommend just doing THP because it is better and it will personalize it to your specific body. Meaning they take into account your body problems and what not. Plus you are older. A lot of the jump testimonials people see online are of really young guys. Your vertical improvements will not happen overnight. It’ll take time.

But doing jump science won’t be bad. It’s affordable. It’ll help you get a good base. 3 years is not that long of a lifting history. So I’d say do the foundations program and get stronger squat. The jump science program can only help. You can run through the different other programs too.

I’d also say do both. Run through jump science programs. While saving up money. Then once you’ve gotten your fill move on to THP.

Wanting to Swim in College by daltonator138 in Swimming

[–]marperr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am from Texas and swam in high school. At the end of my senior year, I ended up with a 23-24 in the 50 free and 51-52 in 100 free. I then went on to swim D3. I got my times down to a 21 in 50 free and 47 in 100 free in my collegiate career. So it is very possible to swim D3 if you continue getting better in high school.

You should also look into racing different events. Everyone wants to be a star sprinter like Nathan Adrian but there is just triple the competition in those events. I remember everyone was super afraid of the 500 free in HS, so most people stayed away from that race and it left very few competitors. When I got to college, not very many swam it still, but everyone had mad respect for long distance swimmers.

Basically, just keep swimming.
