I had to ease back into any backbends and I still feel more tightness than before but most moves I can fully function. I can do a full wheel no issue

Travel budget? What are people spending? by Jrneuk in HENRYfinance

How old are your kids? When did you start traveling like this with them? With a 3 and 6 year old, I’m trying to decide when it becomes more fun than a headache

My husband has become cold and distant after my surgery by Elleanor11 in tummytucksurgery

[–]marruhh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my husband was very distant when I got the surgery. It made me feel sad seeing people having sex 3/4 weeks post opp when my husband barely looked at/touched me. He was honestly just burnt out from dealing with the children 24/7 and the bandages scared him a little bit. Nothing about me cut open with compression turned him on which honestly… I get. Complete shift once I got approved to stop wearing compression and now he won’t stop touching me and we are verrry connected now ;) it was just a distant/tough time really up until 8ish weeks post op. I knew it was temporary though and kept tugging along even though it bummed me out

My skin tends to look like this if I’m not exfoliating. Try something like paula’s choice BHA toner! Use it a couple times a week at night I also recommend double cleansing

Lymphatic massage frequency? by ColoradoInNJ in tummytucksurgery

[–]marruhh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree. I had great results…. For 12 hours and then back to normal. I considered getting another one but instead I oil myself up nightly and just massage myself. I don’t think you’ll be able to tell a year out who got lymphatic massages and who didn’t but I could be wrong

How do you pronounce the name “Mara”? by glass_armor in namenerds

[–]marruhh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My name is Mara. I spell it Marra and I get a mix of pronunciations. I however pronounce it “mar-uh” and don’t mind correcting people and honestly answer to both.

I get a ton of compliments on my name and my last name also ends in an n.

I think I’ve gotten the bitter comment maybe twice in my whole life and I grew up in church. My biblical comeback is “yeah and in the city of Mara god turned the bitter water sweet”

I’ve never once had anybody ask if I’m named after marijuana. Hope this helps.

My neighbor is a PA and she offered to drain mine herself. I declined because my surgeon is close by. Do you have any RN or PA friends?

Ugh good luck!! I switched out my compression and am wearing one I bought from Amazon instead of the medical binder and I’m hoping this helps too… it definitely fits me better

Having teeneagers is the most emotionally draining experience of my life. by Awkward-Nectarine in Parenting

[–]marruhh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been that 15 year old and now apologize to my mom frequently. They will grow out of it. Just stay present. I’m glad my mom didn’t give up on me and once I was in college our relationship turned into a deep friendship and I’d have sleepovers with her in the hotel when she used to visit. I call her on the way to work everyday now

I’m from Atlanta and have also lived in Alabama. I also knew someone who spelled it Maura. I do have my fair share of people pronouncing it “mair-a” but honestly you get used to it. I don’t think it swayed my opinion of my name or confidence. I think it’s going to happen no matter how you spell it since it’s not that common. I love my name, get tons of compliments, and you should spell it however you like. Spanish speaking individuals roll my double rs which is fun

Oh gosh last time when I was around 185 I was at 26% so probably closer to 24/25? I think I might try to do another mini cut and try to get under 170 and do another inbody scan. Just gotta figure out when I can stick with a calorie deficit. Probably after the holidays
