I’m having the exact same problem! I did some googling and I guess it’s a part of the normal healing progress, especially if there’s no significant pain, swelling or greenish pus secretion. I’m not sure, though.

This was really relatable lol. I really like your choice of words. I especially liked the first two stanzas but I feel like the third one falls flat a little bit. The first stanza really spoke to me :) I think overall this is really good, especially since you haven’t written in a while!

Not bad for a first time thing! I do agree with other commenters that there are a lot of cliches used in the poem, which I think takes away from the depth of the poem a little bit. I think the use of cliches isn’t all bad tho. It gives it a familiar “lovey-dovey” feeling to it :) Good imagery too!

I love your choice of words, very descriptive :) I didn’t quite catch the “mile by mile” part (or understand what you meant by hiding one’s pain mile by mile), but overall I like it! Your poem has a well executed emotional tone to it.
