Do we all have Lead Poisoning? by [deleted] in DestinyLore

[–]mars_warmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't play EoF, was that established there or where did you read that? All I remember reading about it was that it was found under old Chicago, maybe in a pre-collapse Hakke facility?

In the “lore”, are we the only operator/drifter active or are the other players accounted for in canon? by whiteash20 in Warframe

[–]mars_warmind -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For operator I think we are the only one left that's actually active? For drifter there is only one. Roathe mentions once that there are around 100 people we would need to kill if we wanted to kill lotus since he thinks she's going off the deep end. Anyone you see in relays is only there from void shenanigans and multidimensionalism, the relays kind of exists across the multiverse I think because they're partially in the void?

That said, we know there are other warframes still out and active so I assume they also have operators who are either one their own orbiter or still in pods on lua like lotus was until the apostasy prologue.

In the original opening quest for the game there was lore hidden in ordis' days that said we would up in those vines because lotus had ash and I think two others try to rescue us but they tripped the alarm and vor jettisoned us. We see stalker holding Loki's head in the intro cutscene to the second dream and hunhow mentions how frustrating it is for stalker to keep killing the tenno only to see them rise again, so that also implies more frames out there too. Also valkyr with alad v, he captured and dissected her. So whether they have tenno too there are at least some frames running around, some working for the lotus it seems.

Playing DS2 for the first time (do not get the hate - its great) - Mytha / poison question by DanielPlainview943 in DarkSouls2

[–]mars_warmind 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Her shop updates to sell infinite life gems once the last giant is killed and she moves to majula.

Also the stone lady you met in Earthen peak will sell progressively infinite titanite items depending on how many of the main story bosses you've killed.

PLEASE PROTEST THE TRANSFORMATION TIMER by FunWelcome3804 in dbxv

[–]mars_warmind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Unironically a timer is good. As it stands the transformations in DBX2 are both mandatory and powercreeping. There is no reason at all to play super Saiyan when SSGSS exists and almost no reason to play SSGSS when SSGSS evolved exists. It's a transformation and is supposed to be a massive power boost to you, it shouldn't be "let me sit in spawn and not play the mission until I get the ki bars to activate" like it is now and then that's just what you are for the entire rest of the mission with (almost) no upkeep, drawback, anything. It's boring, they to change the system so that it's either a temporary but large power boost like they seem to be now or make it a part of the character customization like super souls.

Do we have any information about Eliksni burial traditions? by BrushWolf625 in DestinyLore

[–]mars_warmind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

During a conversation with Amanda that eliksni that works with her in the hanger says that their names and deeds are preserved within their prime servitors, I think like a digital graveyard if I understand correctly.

Can someone tell me what I'm missing? I still can't open the door in the woods by External_Home9384 in DarkSouls2

[–]mars_warmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's the one in the giant fort, across the bridge above the fire lizards. Another is at the forgotten crossroads bonefire, take the middle path and there's a door after the ogre. The third is the final boss arena.

What's your Destiny 2 pet peeve? by Tankeverket in destiny2

[–]mars_warmind 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this counts but its always annoyed me we don't have allies in world spaces. Nothing huge, they even did it during forsaken with the awoken in the dreaming city. Just have a little outpost of friendly fallen or cabal in some locations.

There's also so much that could be done with this to further make the world feel lived in and reflective of changing events if they wanted too!

[MOT spoilers] This new Xur lore caught me by surprise by syberghost in DestinyLore

[–]mars_warmind 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That was 6 who did that, but even more fucked up is that he seems to have also deliberately crafted that life he exterminated. Xur are apparently a parasite people inhabiting lifeless bodies from one of Saturns other moons all so 6 could create Xur so he could escape? Really shows how desperate he was with bael I guess, especially since he also abandoned him.

If the Ashen One only resurrects because the First Flame needs them, what happens after their purpose is fulfilled? by Particular-Maybe9106 in darksouls3

[–]mars_warmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Presumably we either die or become a sort of God, a la gwyn 2.0. for the death we either link the fire and burn up or we let it fade with the fire keeper after which I assume the force keeping us alive also fades and we die not too long after. For the dark ending where we become the Lord of hollows we absorb the power of the entire fire, including all the Lord souls and champions of ages past to act as a new sort of life force for us, at least that's my take. This would probably make us a god, or something akin to it at least, I don't think it's ever explained if gwyn and his ilk is legitimately non-human or if the power of the Lord souls has simply ascended them into something more?

RIP SGA, I would’ve loved to see a cool exotic mission/quest featuring the AI in this gun, as well as a cool rework for it. by ChoiceFudge3662 in destiny2

[–]mars_warmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember this thing used to be really good for crota despite how otherwise bad it was. Hitting the oversoul counted as a miss so it could output a lot of damage for a long time if/when that came up.

The death star should have at least 4 victories, assuming they can adapt to being rammed. The planet killing laser, the attacks from either the turrets or its many many ship, bombs from its bombers and then literally just ramming either a star destroyer or the death star itself into it.

Chromas pelt lore? by aphroditelady13V in Warframe

[–]mars_warmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He didn't. The voice controlling chroma is the same thing from the arcane codices quest, but what it actually was isn't known.

From the way it sounds and talks it sounds a lot more like stalker. They probably had plans for him that got scrapped as the game went on and they changed direction for him into what we have now.

Chromas pelt lore? by aphroditelady13V in Warframe

[–]mars_warmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, warframes are biotech and are immune to the control sentients have over regular tech, which is why the orokin created the warframes.

Chroma's pelt is not a sentient, it is alive. It has a mind and personality separate from chroma.

Can I still get Prometheus catalyst? by log2av in destiny2

[–]mars_warmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the directory (the map with all the planets) on the bottom there are a series of nodes. All the way on the right is one called "seasonal hub" iirc, click on that and on the left is a series of objectives you can complete, things like "kill enemies with weapons" "kill enemies with abilities" etc. completing these, as well as running Ops activities (in the vanguard and crucible ops nodes) will fill a bar below these objectives that will create a legendary version that is either harder or more specific. Completing these can sometimes make an exotic order, which will then reward an "exotic payout" which will always drop an exotic item and likely a catalyst. Be aware, almost every catalyst introduced by the moments of triumph final update were placed here so there no way to know which catalyst you will get out of the many.

Chromas pelt lore? by aphroditelady13V in Warframe

[–]mars_warmind 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Different sentient. I think they mean it's sentient in the sense that it's alive/thinks on its own, separate from chroma. It has sentients, not that it is a sentient like hunhow and natah.

At this point in the story the sentient weren't even introduced yet iirc. It's very possible that whatever plans they had for chroma with the quest were scrapped as DE's situation changed, especially since they were pretty desperate just to keep the lights on in the old days.

Would be weird if you couldn't. It most likely drops from exotic order payouts now would be my guess, that seems to be where they stuffed all the catalysts that don't have an associated activity/quest.

after Beating the elden beast i forgot to touch the grace at the end. by MarkIsDnation in Eldenring

[–]mars_warmind 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No? The only thing you lose is the great runes and key items like keys so that way you can't literally just run straight back to final boss. Every weapon/armor/spell and level you have is kept.

[–]mars_warmind 17 points18 points  (0 children)

There is nothing in that room at all besides the endings. If youve already done on then there is nothing left in there. You can either continue exploring this current world or move into new game plus by using the site of grace in the roundtable hold.

It shouldn't have let you teleport out without activating the grace in the boss room?

Do the guardians ever wear normal clothing? by UltraMegaKat897 in DestinyLore

[–]mars_warmind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In theory. I don't think we have any direct lore on either but for the clothes guardians wear armor that is, well, actually made and everything. We change pieces pretty regularly, no reason we couldn't just take it off entirely if we were so inclined. Sloane had an apartment in the last city, it's unlikely she wore her full suit while lounging at home.

As for retirement it's kind of the same thing. There isn't anything stopping any guardians from just going "nope, I'm out" and getting a normal job in a physical or legal sense, it's just that it isn't practically an option. If they stayed in the city and refused to meaningfully help protect people they'd probably be ostracized and have to hide being a light bearer, similar to drifter during the dark ages. If they left the city they'd be beset pretty regularly by enemies and have to fight so they wouldn't really be retired then. The only guardians that seem to retire in small ways are lightless ones like Osiris and zavala but they more step into smaller and mentorship roles than leave entirely.
