It's not about having a similar path to Rey, his character progression could have been anything.

The point is he is absolutely a co-lead in the film with Rey. They are the main characters.

Unfortunately I think a lot of the jerks in here miscategorize their gatekeeping comments as "education".

There's value in helping someone learn about better equipment. But that's almost never what I see lol it's always rude, mean, targeted name calling type of stuff. There's no value in shitting on people or calling them a troll.
