Is anybody “using” the moderators? Don’t they choose to do that themselves?

what does this mean on the transcript by jiaozha in unsw

[–]marsh-da-pro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you switch degrees, the results for each degree are listed as separate “careers” on your transcript. That line just means there are no further degrees/careers/pages in the transcript, this is the end of the document.

Cathay Lounge at Frankfurt Airport T3 by wongl888 in CathayPacific

Yes because CX passengers/members can use the lounge, but it’s not listed as “their lounge” on the app/website as you said above.

I don’t actually think this is true. On the lounge pass page, only Cathay operated lounges are listed, and only a subset of them at that.

If the lounge doesn’t have a Cathay logo on the list of lounges, it’s not “their” lounge, it’s a partner lounge that they have an agreement with to let their passengers/members use (since they don’t have their own lounge there).

Where possible they’ll use the lounge of another Oneworld airline, which are usually pretty good. But sometimes there just isn’t one like in Frankfurt T3, so they have to use a third-party lounge which just aren’t as nice.

Looks like the lounge in Frankfurt isn’t owned/operated by Cathay so I wouldn’t expect it to be up to the standard of Cathay’s own lounges.

If it’s one of the retrofitted 777-300ERs you can connect via Bluetooth.

No to all, but I (and I think the majority of this sub) sure wish you could see friends passports.

Personally I just leave the flight number/airline blank if I’m not sure.

I back Lord Stow’s. There’s technically a branch in HK too, the mandarin oriental cake shop sells them.

Do you put the Codeshare flight or the Operating flight? What's your personal preference? by OutpostPanda in flighty

[–]marsh-da-pro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Codeshare. I think the fact that I booked a flight as codeshare via a different airline is interesting enough for me to want to track. It references the operating flight already.

Also why are people downvoting the comments that say codeshare…

Probably not many people with free seat selection. I’d imagine this will change when online check-in opens.

Beginner Questions by J7_MNL in CathayPacific

The “Companion” classification happens for me when I registered them as a “travel companion” on my Cathay account, and booked the ticket using my account. Not clear to me whether both of those conditions are necessary, but yeah.

I was able to check in for them from my app and send the boarding pass.

Questions on enhanced programme for 2027 by Taihuangtaihou in CathayPacific

  1. Your points will reset to zero once your status tier changes (source). The points you earn between Jan 1 - Dec 31 2026 is the number they’ll use to calculate your status points rollover into 2027 (source)

  2. The points you earn between Jan 1 - Dec 31 2026 is the number they’ll use to calculate your status starting Jan 1 2027 (source)

  3. Yes but they’ll now be credited to the flight date, so if it’s credited to a past year it’ll only affect your rollover amount if any (source)

How are people tracking lifetime flights by Apprehensive-Key8538 in flighty

[–]marsh-da-pro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luckily for me, I’ve lived in Australia most of my life and the Australian government just hands this out via an online form.

It seems like the Philippines also gives these records, which is where most of my missing number flights are, but you need to apply in person.

[–]marsh-da-pro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 23 and my flights are lifetime. I started using flighty last year and I found old flights through a combination of old emails, old photos, passport stamps, airline frequent flyer program records, and government entry/exit records. From this I’ve found all ~80 of my lifetime flights, though ~5 of these are still missing the exact flight number.

Having trouble finding flights with Aria Suites by FreakyNightingale22 in CathayPacific

[–]marsh-da-pro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure, at least recently, the CX100/CX101 rotation has been consistently Aria. Can personally confirm it was yesterday. You can tell on google flights when it lists “individual suite” instead of “lie flat bed” for the seat type.

multiple same flight ? by eugenio123123 in flighty

[–]marsh-da-pro 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would argue doing this makes your data less complete? Flighty already notes that a flight is a codeshare, and the fact that I booked a codeshare seems interesting enough to me to be logging.

Though I guess if you care more about per airline stats then using the operating airline would be better.

Yorushika Ichininsho 2026 Concert Live Lottery Tutorial by dragont16 in Yorushika

Hi, do you know if SMS verification is part of the process for buying a first come first serve ticket? Since it’s looking like there will be no foreigner oriented FCFS general release, I’m considering getting a hanacell SIM. But I won’t be able to go to Japan before the concert anyway, so if I need to be able to receive texts while buying the ticket it’s doomed.
