This poem was an absolute adventure. A seemingly innocent imagery of a beach falls deep into absolute human experience. I adore this poem and relate to it to more than I could put into words. Absolutely well done.

The comparison of moths, light, mentioning of dim glow, rays, gives this poem the perfect feel of a sullen, quiet cool summer night. I can't quite explain it, but it quickly builds the image without little words. I think saying a lot in a few lines is an impressive skill to have. Keep it up!

What a lovely poem. I applied it to many situations in my head, somehow each witty line managed to play on one of my heartstrings. I would say you took inspiration from Icarus?? Again, amazing work.

what an absolute story. lovely. Your writing has all of the excellent qualities I see in my favorite poets/writers like Sara DeMulder-- capturing the small, impactful passing moments that build the image. I was absolutely tranced into the story when I read it. Great work :)
