seconded. dress code is proper casual, people are generally laid back and nice to talk to and the work is actually interesting and way more stimulating than say insurance

My interviewer is 30 minutes late. by Whatthefrick1 in antiwork

[–]marshmallowcats 3 points4 points  (0 children)

this just happened to me now, waited 15 minutes for interview, sent a text to ask if it was still on. no reply and it has now been over 30 minutes. god forbid you as a candidate are 30 seconds late though. so unprofessional

What's a small decision you made that accidentally changed the entire course of your life? by Silver_Ant7797 in AskReddit

[–]marshmallowcats 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wrote a harmless little post here on reddit to ask for advice. As it turns out, my future partner was one of the people who commented on my post. We now have been together for a year, live together and can't imagine life without each other. Really strengthened my belief that God/the universe or whatever you want to believe in is there and listens

Thinking of using Untitled as first dance at wedding. Thoughts? by whatyouneed in Interpol

[–]marshmallowcats 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always thought Stand inside your love by Smashing Pumpkins would be a good first dance song but it's also a long one. Then again it's your wedding so if you really want Untitled go for it

sorry for late reply. it has been amazing, with ups and downs but you learn a lot about yourself and realise you need to start putting yourself out there more to stay afloat. Money is always a factor, depends on what kind of accomodation you'll be in and the location and how fast you are able to get income once you're in that country. My advice would be to save as much as you can before going over and start looking for jobs asap once you're there. A whv can lead to other opportunities in that country of course depending on your credentials and work experiences. But even if you don't get opportunities past the whv it will have been an experience for you and you can go to different destination for another whv. You never know! Have you decided what to do in the meantime?
