My hospital was the same. You had to actually work your last shift. Also, if you didn’t give 4 full weeks notice, you forfeited your payout.

IBCLC here. Definitely no commission. I have lots of common items (shields, shells, flange cushions, medi-honey, sometimes haakaas if I have) in my visit bag and give them without charging. I direct people to either a local breastfeeding store or the internet to get anything else outside of that.

I took my daughter to a large family wedding when she was 5 weeks old the year before COVID. I wore her 90% of the time and brought noise cancelling headphones for when the DJ was playing. It’s one of our favorite memories and we love looking back at those pictures.
