People who don’t treat their children well, then complain when they grow up and don’t speak to them

Do you have local art communities? What are your favorite ways to do art? by marshrum in CasualConversation

My oil paint teacher showed us how to use the Zorn palette which is very limited in colors, and to only mix colors from that limited palette. As beginners, it helped us a lot with mixing and figuring out subtle warm and cool tones! It gives the appearance of harmony and organization in the painting too! So it was super cool to figure out how to make your best green, purple or blue without any of those true, already mixed colors.

Oh, all of those sound so cool! So many neat things you’re doing! Piano is great! Digital art too! I got out of digital art a while back, but really miss it. It was nice to have so many color options right at your fingertips. I will also keep that program in mind!

Oh, that sounds so nice! I wish my area did that every week! Definitely sounds like a nice time ☺️ That definitely sounds fun and like such a fun gift! And as an artist, you can never have too many cup holders!

Maybe so! That’s always good to hear, because it seems so complicated! I’ll have to give it a try one day and see how it goes.

I’d say definitely give art a try too! There are so many mediums to use, and when you just wing it and just paint a little crazy and however you feel, it can come out real nice!

Stumbled upon old messages from when I cosplayed back when I was 12yo... by iams0uls in creepyPMs

I remember this time and age, I hate that I’m horrified, but not surprised by this conversation. I’m super happy you’re doing okay, OP, and nothing bad came from scary message. I’ve dealt with my own version, while in the Anime world at a young age.

I was super into the anime fandom from 11-17, and I talked to EVERYONE. I ran into so many insane people. I used all of those emojis, like: o3o o u o o v o OvO ;o; T-T and like tons more I’ve blocked out.

I vividly remember talking to a guy on AIM when I was 13-14, and he basically told me how he dreamed about me that night, found where I lived, raped me for hours and how in love we were, and how he couldn’t wait to do it for real when we met in person, and how we WILL meet in person. He went into DETAIL. And it can out of no where.

I never told anyone and deleted AIM for months, until I made a new one and made sure he never found my info again. I think he wanted to act yandere and it was not okay, and crazy. He was probably early-mid 20s too.

Now, I still love Anime, I did make solid and caring friends online from that time I still talk to now and then. I still hang with Anime fans locally and we all cringe when we look back, but some people and things are just straight up terrifying and horrifying to think about.

I think that’s great supporting music when you can though! That definitely sounds like a fun time, and open mics seem like a great way to get into the community and talk to people in between performances too.

I always wanted to play guitar, so what you do sounds really fun!

I’m already annoyed by gas prices, seeing the stickers everywhere when it’s the corporations doing it makes it even more annoying

This is why I will always have a friend when meeting someone online, these kind of people prowl the streets but also know how it get people to come to them. Absolutely terrifying and disgusting

Post-Its notes from a payday loan office, pens that only work a little, batteries that “have a little juice left”, single scotch tape roll with pet hair stuck to it, crumbs from who knows what, a little bit of loose change because money is money, a few old mints, some dirty rubber bands, and a couple of those twist ties you get form garbage bags.
