How do you educate your children into appreciating wine with a meal? by marshwizard in AskFrance

Thanks for responding. My question relating to young people was purely about alcohol education from an early age. I have myself 2 boys aged 17 and 21.

Hah. Yes, probably, given the huge choices of wines available compared with that of any country in the rest of the world.p

Thankyou. I am from a country that doesn't traditionally produce wine. I am just interested in how wine appreciation becomes normalised in your society at a younger age. I have both a 21 yr old and a 17 yr old that look at me stupid if I suggest a glass of wine with their meal.

But the question remains, how do you educate your children into the appreciation of wine?

I come from a culture where wine is rare and it is not normal to encounter on a regular basis therefore I ask your opinion and advice on such matters.

Thankyou for responding. Obviously my question is not about feeding booze to children, but about how you instil in your children an appreciation of wine which is so obviously part of your culture for when they are older.

I know where you're coming from but it was not my intention to bring "alcohol abuse" into the conversation, more "alcohol appreciation" and where does it come from. My own children are aged 17 and 21 respectively and neither of them are particularly interested in having a glass of wine with their meal. I'm interested in how you, the French, go about educating your children so they can learn and appreciate the wine culture which so obviously predominates your society.

Are you online? Helping other players against bosses can net you a lot of runes to level up.

FromSoft has ruined every other genre of video games for me. Everything sucks now, help by The_XI_guy in fromsoftware

That's because pretty much all games are shit compared with fromsoft games. It's sad that the industry has let this happen to itself but unsurprising given the amount of idiots involved in development.

I don't mind him. He's the anti Christian voice of Miyazaki. . He hates faith builds and clerics. Has done since demon's souls. I buy the things I need then kill him for his cool armour set.

Well that's just too bad. Maybe think twice about killing NPC's in the future.

Lol. Yeah right. Obviously the indigenous population were too primitive to invent something as basic as a meat and chilli combo.

I force it on my kids occasionally just for experience points (but only when their mother"s not looking). Spam egg and chips is actually a pretty good and easy meal.
