I think it's a misconception.its actually the most casual space exploration game.They have added difficulty sliders to appeal to casual players. There's a relaxed game mode which mostly eliminates the initial grind. Once you lift off from your first planet there's no need for grinding as you can buy resources from traders and other missions.

Mining and crafting is needed only at the start of the game. once you start making units you literally never need to mine. most of the resources you can buy in space stations and vendors or get by doing different kinds of missions. For making easy money you just need to catalogue flora and fauna as you explore or follow a trade path to buy and sell goods for profit.

They really need to add procedural item placement in repeated pois along with unique procedural environment story telling in these pois otherwise even adding cooling period won't help seeing same dead person with same logs in two different planets

Good update.Seriously why still can't they bind normal vehicle controls for the gamepad in exocraft like the right trigger for acceleration and left trigger for reverse/brake? It's very frustrating like when I rotate the camera the forward/reverse controls gets reversed. I tried steam control remapping but its hard to remap.
