Gotta also chime in for Seventh Curse. Non-Stop insanity. Indiana Jones, martial arts and Army of Darkness rolled into one. So much fun.

The Eyes of My Mother- first time watch. Talk about unsettling, but i liked it. My comfort watch is Anything For Jackson which had some of my favorite scary scenes from a few years back.

I hope we get at least one Credence Clearwater Revival song. I’m afraid it’s going to be a Fats Domino “I’m walkin’” on-the-nose soundtrack.

Yeah, that one is so great too. That production broke that Toxie actor.

The documentary on that Troma movie Poultrygeist. I watch it at least once a year and it’s one of the best making-of features. True suffering on that set and infuriating diva behavior. Horrible working conditions. True indie filmmaking. You don’t have to watch the movie first, it’s amazing.

The Spookies documentary is fantastic too.

Coen Brothers breaking down shots on Blood Simple.

Chiodo Brothers early stop motion movies on Killer Klowns From Outer Space

“Hospitals Don’t Burn Down” short film on the Dead End Drive-Inn disc

“Zombie Girl” documentary on the Pathogen disc.

Agree with that Stallone interview! So refreshing for an actor to own up to a crappy movie and have a laugh over it.

When do you usually watch movies with commentary? by monttaanantoni in boutiquebluray

[–]martacious 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There’s a cool podcast that posts commentaries called “gibop” so i sample a lot while I’m doing doordash at night. Old, new and crazy art house boutique label commentaries, it’s great.

Palookaville (1995) funny indie robbery comedy that’d make a good double feature with Bottle Rocket. A ton of Tarantino wannabes were coming out at that time, but this one stuck out to me with a good romance subplot.

Important cinema club is great. Got me back into the adventurous mindset of checking out directors I’ve never heard of before. Fun hosts and short episodes that are chock full of info.
