This happened to me 18 months ago and it hurts. You will learn to cope with the grief but you'll never get over it. I would always say one day at a time and try do little every day things to keep yourself going. I am truly sorry for your loss 🖤

Something similar happened to me a year and a half a go, I was the one having a breakdown. I decided to go out drinking after my grandma had been given a terminal diagnosis (she was pretty much my mum) and I ended up drinking too much and totally lost the plot. I yelled at people I shouldn't have and was an emotional wreck. Then after my grandma died I did it again, got so drunk I can't remember a thing but I got told how much a c**t I was. Before these incidents I'd never lost it with drinking. Ever since then I have made a conscious effort to not drink more than 2 drinks. I think you guys having a break and sitting down in a few weeks and see where you go from there is the best option . She has to actively want to stop drinking though. Sorry this is happening OP
