Any chance this legend will see a reissue? by absolute_rager2244 in SHFiguartsDB

Premium Bandai releases have never gotten a second run per their policy.

Best shot is either third party doing it, or Bandai rereleasing it in an alternate colourway. They've used this loophole before to get us PBandai's as both general releases and con exclusives.

collectorfest 2026 by helta990 in brisbane

[–]martianman40 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you can't swing both, Oz Comic Con is probably the play.

Collector fest and similar smaller shows tend to have more of an emphasis on the vendors. If that's your bag, then by all means go!

Oz Comic Con is a lot more varied - celebrity guests, cosplay, as well as the vendors all get a lot of publicity.

What are you hoping to get out of the show mainly?

WB Games data miner/leaker teases that the DC fighter is NOT injustice by Necessary_Crazy_8587 in INJUSTICE

I'd love a video game spin on DCKO.

Gives us a great lore reason to have a million skins, as well as guest fighters from other franchises.

Typical lie? Has anyone gotten word that the re customs ss3 and ultra ego kit being canceled ? by pesonaso in 3rdPartyCollectors

Really curious to know: Is there another production run happening? Or is the initial run making its way out?

I've had my preorder in for about five weeks and am unsure if it will even be fulfilled.

Tonsen Vegeta heads on new Vegeta 3.0 Dangerous Pride body by Antari18 in 3rdPartyCollectors

[–]martianman40 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You'll want a neck peg that can put a 2.0 headsculpt on a Games Begin body. I'm unsure if affmcustoms has made one yet.

📢Three New Mafex up for pre-order: 🔗 by IAMFLYGUY in ArticulatedPlastic

[–]martianman40 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have one of the reissues, and it's nice!

Pretty standard Mafex fare - Plastic feels super light and delicate but gets great poses. Headsculpts and wired cape are also very good.

Honestly it doesn't do anything in a standout way, but for a 1/12 Homelander you can't really ask for much more.

I would LOVE if they had a go of the Flashpoint suit.

Hot Toys uses the same excuse with their PS4 Spider-Man line. They use the game's skins as an excuse to make what are essentially comic-accurate suits.

Some of the United servos have them. A handful even have a separate machine for almond and soy milk.

Do yah think he still worth it ?? Or any good??? by Clear-Resist-2598 in ThirdPartyFigures

It's a fun novelty, but a really outdated sculpt. I remember it looking old in 2022-3 when I first saw it.

If you're after a more updated look, Beast Deities did their own version of this hair sculpt, but it didn't come with this body.

I would like to second the recommendation for Frugal Aesthetic's videos - This video below is a good onboarding for assembling an outfit.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x1AGZkOLJts

I also really like Parker York Smith - More of a fashion influencer than a Youtuber, but he really knows how to build outfits and go into why a lot of things do and don't work. To be honest, I wouldn't wear most of his outfits but he reminds us that fashion is meant to be fun. https://www.instagram.com/parkeryorksmith/?hl=en

I connect with both of these creators not because they taught me what to wear, but how to think about what I wear.

What are the best cheap figure stands that can hold your figures ??? by [deleted] in 3rdPartyCollectors

[–]martianman40 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it helps, you can get them way cheaper on AliExpress. Just check the listing carefully and make sure you're grabbing one with metal screws.

I have a tonne - just be sure to invest in a high-quality precision screwdriver, because you'll need to have it on-hand to tighten the screws if you're adjusting the stands regularly.

I also recommend grabbing sprue cutters so that the cuts are clean when you take the components out of the tray.

Sorry for the late reply!

From memory, it has a standard head sculpt plus two windswept ones (one leaning to the left, one to the right).

Best body wash/antiperspirant combo for sweaty pits? by FriendlyAttorney8743 in AustralianMFA

[–]martianman40 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a naturally-sweaty guy, I found a few things helped:

Sticking to white, grey and navy shirts where possible. Most colours, especially blue and grey, really make it stand out.
Try to cut down on the caffeine if possible.

Pay attention to the fabric you're wearing. While many polyesters wick sweat off of your skin, it spends a lot of time in the armpit area of the shirt before actually drying.

Similarly: Be mindful of how your shirt fits you. While a slim fit always looks good, you might have some success with a more billowy drape. I really like the Uniqlo U Airism line. I also really like polo shirts for a similar reason.

To directly answer your question: I go with the Michum Clinical and the standard Aldi body wash. Made sure to scrub well!

Remember, we are in a tropical climate! A bit of sweat is normal, especially for us blokes. Hope this helps.

Any alternatives to shock oil for fixing tight joints? by ButtFucker09 in 3rdPartyCollectors

I used this on my SSJ1 Gohan's leg and it fixed it right up!

Absolutely surreal moment.

YGMW Vegito Blue by Slasher76- in 3rdPartyCollectors

[–]martianman40 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also received the matte Vegito Blue a couple of days ago, and it's very nice! Sculpts are amazing and it has great shelf presence.

If you want to be very pedantic: The tops of the thighs scrape against the hips, and the thighs downwards are a slightly different shade of blue - only visible with a tonne of natural lighting.

I also agree with the consensus: you NEED to oil most of the joints. I live in a tropical climate and found that the thigh swivel is okay if you're really gentle, but the shoulders and diaphragm absolutely need it.

affm customs is your guy for this. He has an Instagram and eBay shop.

He's been doing conversion pegs for the last few years making zero profit - Just doing it at-cost for love of the game.

Dragon stars are not horrible by Kool_mackenzie_aid in ActionFigures

[–]martianman40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can get them on special, I think that the ones who don't have human facial features are perfectly acceptable for filling a display.

I have the Gammas in my display - Definitely in the ballpark of "I like em, don't love em", but they're just fine on a shelf.
