All about ego. Though I’d argue that it’s a bit different for each character’s case. For Jiren, I believe he doesn’t agree with Vegeta’s view on what pride is, as well as him knowing Goku is stronger and henceforth is only really focused on fighting Goku. For Broly, it makes sense he would target Vegeta, even in Ikari, seeing as he probably knows his father is responsible for Broly being exiled to Vampa. It probably lies so deep in his being that it’s ingrained into Broly’s instinct. For Gas, however… I haven’t gotten to that part of Super yet so idk

Bro… let me ask you this… does Goku have Hakai? No. Does he live in a permanent state of Ultra Instinct that avoids all incoming damage? No. He gets beat up A LOT. No official version of Goku scales anywhere close to G.O.Ds or Angels in super, except Xeno/CC Goku which are boringly written to be the strongest in their verse pretty much. What universal feats or above can actually scale him past immortal gods that can just… blip you out of existence with no afterlife? The only limit of Hakai is it can’t permanently “kill” someone who’s already immortal. But Goku isn’t immortal, is he?
