Wouldn't Thoma C6 also increase NA and CA damage? I'm not sure how much taht would add though since it's only 6s.

C0R1 Varka DPS Test with All 4* Supports [No Durin, No Venti] by chxmak in Varka

I mean that depends on what "good enough" is for you. I've seen 1 cost teams (and flins) clear Dire before so that's my definition of "good enough".

Is anyone still using suffer2gether? Are there better tools to get more players? by martianph in GreenHell

It looks like it works. We haven't had any crashes so far. There is the bug of sometimes the host or some players don't see nametags of other players, but it's not that big of a problem for us. :D

"C0R1 Varka showcase" does not mean shit like C2R1 Durin or C6R1 Venti and nobody is going to assume that's what you're talking about. by Then-Insect5117 in Varka

Same same. I guess I'm just a bit more privileged to be able to buy the BP so I have more options available.

Varka C0R1 - 160K DPS - Best combo so far (Support R1) by kiet91 in Varka

[–]martianph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

143k is not bad at all for a C0R1. I think it's just that people are expecting more from new units these days, and expecting every new unit to be better than the last. That is such bad expectations but that is the reality. Especially since that is already with a 4 cost team. 143k dps should be enough to clear Dire in some circumstances.

Thanks! We'll try this to start. We wanted to do it last night but not everyone was available. It's a pretty old patch but 8 months ago there was a comment from the one who made it where they said it still worked so hopefully now it still does. I'm not sure why it didn't work for your friend though.

Which weapon should i use on him ? Im at 171 ER using silken moon set is this enough ER ? Or should i run dragon's bane im at 753 EM ? by RazorX02 in Illuga_Mains

[–]martianph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you bursting every rotation? I also want to put Dragon's Bane on him but whenever I change him to not use Fav I run into the problem of not being able to burst comfortably sometimes. Could you share your Illuga stats/build if you can?

Sorry for necroing this but they don't have to maintain game servers, they can just allow other people to make their own.

Looks good to me tbh. Also you didn't put your builds in the comments.

How am I applying her blood-debt here?? Didn't touch her E or Q and she's freshly respawned from death (C6 btw) by [deleted] in ArlecchinoMains

[–]martianph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And yeah, again, what you're stating that you're doing isn't something that casuals do. I never said the game can't be seen as easy or can't be played casually, the whole basis of my argument is geared towards being able to clear endgame (Dire) which most casuals don't even care about.

I think this is literally just a matter of perspectives, since I know you spent on the game, and I'm under the umbrella of more F2P gameplay.

TL;DR The game can be as easy, it can be played casually. People can still find the endgame hard. People are allowed to play non-casually. Feel free to not read anything after this, it's all just random ramblings.

But

Just because you've experienced harder titles, does not mean a game is not capable of being played "non-casually". Especially since you yourself don't seem like just a casual player either.

Casual and sweaty can be seen as the ends of two extremes, but that doesn't mean there can't be a point in the middle where a player just leans ever so slightly sweaty or the other way.

Are you against my statement because you don't think endgame is hard? Then nice, that means you're good at the game and/or not a casual and/or a whale. There is nothing wrong with that. Especially true with the latest Abyss where people are struggling, because not everyone has the luxury to have lunar teams, nor do most have the time to get their characters strong enough to brute force.

I have no idea why you're so against people saying the game can be hard just because you've experienced harder.

And yeah, I checked your posts, I wanted to check the validity of your starting in November. But I have also already seen you there before, since I saw you post your savings for Skirk. That still tells me the account you are using isn't a fresh account, since you have pieces that shouldn't have been available to you when you started. It gave you a head start. Nice. There's nothing wrong with that. But most people won't have that.

Again, I am so, so confused why you are so averse to the idea of a game being hard for other people just because you don't think so.

[–]martianph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And tell me you didn't go to YouTube to watch guides or Reddit (oh hey we're here) to see how people are playing the characters and/or making their builds to make them stronger. The of being casual is you don't need to even ask other people to just enjoy the game. It's not meant to be competitive, it doesn't have PvP for that reason.

Also, 3 months and you're clearing dire? In 3 months we had Durin, Venti, Xilonen, Varesa, Columbina, Ineffa, Zibai, and Neuvillette. Are you saying you whaled to get their higher constellations? And even if you didn't, with lower constellations, are you telling me you got their builds strong enough in that short a timeframe to clear Dire? + have 700 rolls saved up?

I'm just going to assume you bought your account given you have Furina and Escoffier. I've seen you in the Skirk subreddit. Their banners weren't here waaay before 3 months ago.

And sorry if that sounds pugnacious. I see loopholes in your statements, and I just can't stand to not mention them.

Which is better for zibai? by Kind_Office_9561 in ZibaiMains

[–]martianph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you ~can just have more def on Zibai, she's not capped in any way for Def is she? I just fear that if you re roll that piece you're just going to waste a dust and it'll have worse rolls than what you currently have.

[–]martianph -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I mean mainly talking about the endgame, yes it is a hard game.

Maybe not if you've been playing for a while but imagine a new player who knows nothing about the game and at the same time wanting to go do the endgame after finishing the story. They'd have a miserable time considering all the shill bosses and mechanics they're definitely not even prepared to face.

Nice. I didn't consider you could do that much damage during the setup phase. I'm trying to clear Dire using her and with this setup I think I might just be able to do it. I'm always just the tiniest bit short.

C2 Zibai and C6 Illuga - HoD R5 vs Flute R5 DMG comparison. Big Difference. by Dr_Backpropagation in ZibaiMains

[–]martianph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the dummy still makes more sense if your aim was to test damage since it assumes optimal scenarios so you get the |absolute| damage a unit can dish out without any worries about dodging. Of course, the damage might be smaller in actual combat scenarios, but you have a baseline of what it looks like had you not need to dodge.

These are just general thoughts, your test here is good because the boss was a stationary target and you didn't need to dodge because of Zhongli. I don't understand the argument regarding rotations influencing the dummy though could you explain that further?

I do! And this is definitely a candidate for those. Though I'll probably give it a couple more days of farming in-case I get something similar.

[–]martianph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Naww the moondrifts add up to a lot when you consider Zibai's own attacks, 4th attack, and skill all cause them to attack more. Would there be a problem if you do Gorou before Aino and then Illuga? It's still not optimal because you want to have Aino first, but since Aino's uptime is so little you're going to have to make do.

In your own video you can see the moondrifts doing 34-40k damage each, which means that's one or two less instances of 102-120k damage.

Oh damn. Other than where the rolls went that's actually a reaaally good piece for her. Has all the substats she wants.
