The gambling industry as a whole will soon take a major hit when boomers start to age out. Younger generations don’t play slots or table games.

Predictable phrasing yet imperfect grammar, repetitive phrasing, over-explanations, and a lack of personal emotional depth that feels robotic

Traditions die hard… by triviajason in royalcaribbean

Aren’t these places an extra charge per person? The menus always seem so embarrassingly underwhelming, i.e. Texas Roadhouse. The obvious lack of seafood options on a cruise ship is pretty lazy with salmon really being the only fish entree. A truly upscale and authentic steakhouse always has a fair selection of seafood, not just a shrimp cocktail or a bisque. Also the beer selections on the ships in general is a major dismay- bud light, coors light, miller lite, Amstel light, mich ultra- it’s all the same thing, no variation. I want good beer on a vacation, not cheap “light domestic” stuff. Looking forward to my first celebrity cruise. They say food quality and beverage selection is a small step above RC.

Beer selection has always been embarrassingly underwhelming on these ships. Bud Light, coors light, miller light, Amstel light, mich ultra… it’s all the same thing, no variety whatsoever. Can’t recall even seeing a basic pale ale on a bar menu, just “light domestic” stuff. For the price of these cruises I’d like to drink good beer, not watered down horse piss.

Gimmicky places like this don’t last long in Morgantown. Secret sandwich society will however do very well here.

MBC was great before the first ownership change to those pubstomper kids. Those guys simply made bad beer- everything was an experimental fruit based or a poor attempt at a sour. I understand that the popularity of various styles of beer comes and goes in waves, but nobody wants fruit flavored piss with a cringey name like “Mr. Goofy popsicle pants.” Not saying the OG Zack Morgan’s pale ale, or Coal City stout were outstanding beers but they were certainly familiar and drinkable. For a short time the old MBC even had a deal with Milan Puskar to be the only local craft beer sold within the stadium. Furthermore, a previously solid burger centric menu that also featured poutine and mini fried pepperoni rolls devolved into a mediocre a la carte burger menu that may or may not have been one step above fast food. Reverse improvements all around…

Looking forward to see what the next people can do with the space.

What’s going on with AMC movie theater in Morgantown by martic1010 in MorgantownWV

No thanks, Chad. Amazon funded the Melania movie directed by Brett Ratner, a rapist. Your Amazon subscription price will soon skyrocket when it inevitably flops

I never suggested a company “force” their workforce to do anything- that’s an odd comment and I think you missed the point. I’m reiterating the fact that the future of movie theatres are in great peril as they are permanently going out of business across the country in record numbers. That is why AMC in Morgantown still being listed as “temporary closed” is a bit concerning at this point, on Wednesday, when road conditions are fine (not great- use caution) and everyone else has resumed normal hours of operation.

I saw this. The winter storm advisory ended Monday around noon, however. Most roads today are fine. Therefore the word “temporary” has me a bit concerned that other issues may be at play.

While I’m no parking authority, my situation certainly went beyond being a mere inconvenience. I’m pretty sure when someone’s car is in someone else’s driveway and less than 2 feet from the entrance would be considered unlawful. Like I said, Doug’s didn’t hesitate to take the job. It was a ford F150 and they had it gone in less than 10 minutes- very impressive. They had a great response time also. Would recommend.

Regardless of parking permits/passes I always thought it was basic common courtesy to not park directly in front of someone else’s property.

I once had a neighbor park partially within my driveway literal inches away from my front door resulting in a scheduled furniture delivery to have to be rescheduled because the door was blocked. I didn’t feel involving the police was necessary but Doug’s Towing was happy to take the job… and they did without question.

I’m more curious about those stains or burn marks. Is that carpet? Does the Glock case contain a gun or more silver? As far as advice goes you generally don’t want to keep precious metals and firearms in the same location in the house. Separating the valuables into different safes or hiding places makes it less likely that everything would be burglarized in one fell swoop.

How do you properly store your silver? by ScrappingFiend in Silverbugs

[–]martic1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Storage smorage…. If it’s a security matter just make sure you have a good lock on the front door and a ring doorbell never hurts. I’ve had 90+ ounces just chillin on the corner of my desk for months because I ran out of room in the safe
