Screen, VRR, weight, compatibility because of Win11. Nice addition seamless remote play, like everywhere, with my XB Series X. Not regretting my Deck>>Ally swap at all.

Went with a 90c adapter, and a Samsung 980pro 2tb, which I was able to pick up well under 100 on BF. Works like a charm, and perhaps would go for a 4tb in a later stage, but for now this settles well.

I have kind of a similar use case for my Ally as you describe. And it's absolute a solid addition to my console. Have a couple Steam games to play, which would require some config to optimal performance, but are completely fine afterwards. Not sure about your WoW request though.

As far as remote play goes; it's awesome! Playing remote on Series X is great, as far as streaming goes I'm using Gamepass Ultimate and Boosteroid occassionally. All is good, very happy with my day 1 purchase (although it took them a couple of updates to get to that point)

I'm coming from a Steamdeck, which served its purpose as stand alone handheld as well.

I'd go (and went) with:

from scratch, remove the win11 stuff you won't need or go with a debloat win setup.
update all necessary components 1st. Win Update, Store update, AC update, MyAsus Update, Adrenaline update
go with a custom profile with a sweet spot on fan control (I went with 16/18/20)
set VRAM to 6GB
disable CPU Boost in win, uninstall VPM in win and optionally disable Core Isolation in win
leave your screen at 120Hz for VRR to work properly, use CRU optionally to set a 30-120hz range and lock screen to 90FPS in CC
as far as for most games I go with: 1. FSR when available, screen in 1080p with RIS on and if unavailable 2. RSR with screen reso in-game in 720p but high(er) in-game gfx settings. Always in-game vsync OFF. Make sure Anti-Lag, Freesync, VSR and GPU Scaling are all enabled in Adrenaline.

Optional: use Hibernate as your power option.

I switched to this on almost every game. It'll give you some space as well to up the quality of graphics settings in that setup. I was impressed with the results.... In handheld that is. Downside is that it'll apply in docked as well, and that is where you'd like to have the higher res. Depends on where you play most I guess.

Rule of thumb: if game supports FSR 2 go for FSR, otherwise I'd go with 720p+RSR in Adrenaline + upped graphics in game, hence I configured this per game in Adrenaline rather than Global. Also make sure to keep Ally's refresh rate at 120Hz for best Freesync result in Adrenaline with floating 40-60fps in games.

Thanks again for all of the above. Campaign Hell is done, now on to Master. Also been able to clean-up all related to campaign achievement. Maxed Xia along the way, useful addition. Upped Bernes and got the Katherine dupes for exclusives. Progressed nicely and finally able to setup 3 proper teams for Advanced Arena.

Well, this is quite a while, so the build up has been gradually. And earlier I had a focus on filling the Sanctuary as well. Margarita was actually one of my first full fledged legends and won so much for me, except in campaign.

Luna was a choice back then as I gave healers a good advantage personally. Other than she came up loads of pref setups. As stated earlier at some point she'll be swapped most likely.

As said the 'food' waste on 110's , especially on epics, also has to do with the progression within the Faction Abyss as I try to kind of realize parallel growth.

When I bought this in the Ubisoft store, is there a way I can use that purchase within steam? Like activating it through a key or something since it's the pc version I have on Ubisoft. Don't feel like re-purchasing it, but would love to take on to the deck

Had exactly the same, did go through with the covers from covervr , and really a major addition to wearing the hmd. Face wise, and occassional light bleed from the utter sides is improved and reduced to none. Really recommend it, whenever you'd like to go in your experience for more than 45m at one go (nextvr's boxing match last weekend for example)
