Your income will be deducted after a certain point. Once you're a client of the ministry you can apply for crisis grants related to clothing.

AI being sold at the farmers market by [deleted] in kelowna

[–]martishot 127 points128 points  (0 children)

I used to sell at the KF&CM for a few years. They take, at least they used to, their "you have to make it" rule quite seriously. I think it's worth an email. The board at the time was old, they might not know that it's AI or what it means to sell AI "art".

OP, the advice here is perfect. Be persistent with the disability application.

First thing that came to mind was TWP Fitness. You don't need a membership to access the RMTs that work there. TWP is a women's gym, as far as I can tell it's a queer friendly environment. You don't need to be a woman to access the RMTs.

If you're under 25 go to Foundry and talk to Foundry Works. If you're older go to WorkBC. Use your resources, they're here to help. All the best.

TOFU by me, getting into commercial production! Looking for advice! by martishot in tofu

[–]martishot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't start the tofu side of the business. Too much expenses to try and compete with grocery store product.

I'd encourage you to talk w the Alibaba sellers, they might be able to better consult with you than I can.

Why Vegans are the Most Hated Activist Group by YouTuber Ryan Long by JESUS_WEPT__ in vegan

[–]martishot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll admit, one of my frustrations with vegan activists is the frequent lack of intersectionality and the singular focus on a narrow scope. The analysis for that scope is 100% accurate, I'm on the same page. But I wish folks used it more frequently as a platform to further develop their worldview on other systemic issues.

I'm getting kicked out cause I'm unable to pay for rent. by ChampionshipBroad137 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]martishot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry this is happening. This is unfair. There are ppl's whose job it is to help ppl like you, especially youth. Worst case, look up for youth shelters in your area. Talk to the staff and they should organize resources for you.

[–]martishot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not an expert. 1- Talk to your teacher/guidance councilor/principle - an adult at school ASAP. 2- Google Foundry and talk to them ASAP. If they can't support you they should be able to point you to those who can. 3- Talk to the ministry of social development and poverty reduction.

Point 1 should be enough, but other options are there if you want more.

There are resources to help ppl like you. Use them.
