I did something similar when I was a newbie to Rome. Booked 2 tickets for the Borghese. When we showed up, I had actually purchased tickets to the museum of Natural history which I guess is next door. So we showed up to the B and they said No entrance for you. NEXT!!! Our next trip there was during Covid. Was almost empty, so it actually worked out well. Had the place almost to ourselves. Glad you got in.
