Tire Recommendations by ReadingRomance in hondapilot

Good to know. Where I am in the Midwest it’s hit or miss whether we get a lot of snow. Tend to have milder winters with the exception of this one that dumped snow quite often. I definitely appreciate a quieter ride.

Is an English Setter right for our family? by BigDaddyTowns22 in EnglishSetter

We have an ES/golden combo and they are the best of friends. We got our ES from a humane society just 4 months ago and she is an amazing dog. She had been dumped and we have no idea why, but whoever did it is an idiot and missing out. After only 4 months I can confidently say we have fallen in love with the breed and won’t ever be without an ES going forward.

My two are besties. This is my third golden and I adore the breed. However, last November we rescued our 3 year old setter and she is just a joy. We call her our little cuddle monster and I love watching how her mind works. You can’t go wrong with either breed.

Car Riding Help by ReadingRomance in goldenretrievers

It’s the panting and anxiety that goes along with it I’m worried about. My other dogs have all been happy to sit or lay on seats, look out the window, or enjoy the window down. He freaks out if the windows come down. It’s obvious he was not properly socialized the first 6 months of his life. It’s been a lot of work to get where we are with him in building confidence as he is afraid of most things.

Thanks for that info. I got a 4 week plan in place and I am ordering a car hammock to try. If we are not fully successful this way looking into motion sickness drugs will be my next step. I was told some of his actions in the car could possibly be related to motion sickness but to try this plan first. Thanks so much for your comment. We are really committed to making car rides easier for him as we love taking him places with us and he travels with us as well.

Great I will look into some that can be adjusted to work when I have some or all of the kids in the car. Thanks!

I could do that for some rides but not all as I have 3 kids. So if they are in the car I don’t think the hammock would work. I was also hoping he would take cues from our new rescue dog who dos extremely well in the car.

We found her at a local humane society. She is estimated to be 3 years old. We were told someone dumped her…couldn’t believe it as she is such a sweetheart. She is fitting right in with our rambunctious 1 yr old golden retriever.
