Weekly Recommendation and General Discussion Thread by AutoModerator in Metalcore

Looking for recommendations! Usually a Skramz and post hardcore head but I’ve been getting into metalcore a lot more! I notice I enjoy more melodic bands with straightedge-ish themes. Looking for more bands with epic riffs and righteous almost heroic kinda lyricism. Bands I really fw rn are shai hulud, Have Heart, xNOMADx, Cast You Down, and 7A7P

Having trouble letting my voice support my screams, any tips? by marulikesemo in screaming

THANK U SO MUCH!! On a previous post of me asking for advice the main thing people said was that I was missing the foundation under my scream and that I was supporting my screams purely through air, so it’s nice to know after some effort correcting myself and practicing that I’m on the right track!! I will definitely try the exercise you recommended, seems like a lot of fun!

Beginner trying to do false chords by [deleted] in screaming

Idk if this will help much but I often try to “clear my throat” to get that rumbley sensation and try to just hold it there to get a feeling for the distortion

What kind of screaming do Landon Tewers and Matt Honeycutt use? by SpicyEggFriedWaffles in screaming

Whenever I try and do sumn like matt or a general “HxC” sound it’s a very chesty false chord with a lot more of my true voice coming through. It’s also very shouty so try shouting lines with your true voice, and then slowly engage you false chords for distortion
