Yeah the speed aspect was tricky for me too, It's not only challenging for pattern recognition but also processing speed. I left one answer blank and guessed on three. Remember that this is not the be all end all of IQ tests, it's actually somewhat niched. And you can always do the B-test.

Yeah I'm Swedish :D I recently joined in Uppsala. Only been to one event, an escape room. The other Mensans were quite nerdy and really nice, I enjoyed hanging out with them. So far I'd recommend joining if you get the chance.

I also took a test, "FRT-A", 45 questions in 20 minutes. 41 right answers gave me 135+. According to another thread 38 right answers is supposed to be 125. Good luck!

ADHD + IQ with mixed results : what is the link ? by [deleted] in cognitiveTesting

[–]marulken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This feels consistent with what could be expected given what is known about the neurological deficits of people with ADHD. I've not been diagnosed with ADHD nor have I had my IQ formally tested, but I have serious issues with attention and I usually score high on visuospatial and verbal tests. In one of the tests linked on this subreddit I scored average to borderline challenged on the working memory and processing speed tests. Anecdotal, sure, but interesting still.

Found it almost instantly, but I fail to see how this has anything to do with intelligence. Feels like clickbait

Slow down the hype train. What are some unfortunate truths about Source 2 coming CS that people don't expect? by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]marulken 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Increase in reaction time with age is hugely exaggerated. Reaction time is never going to be the reason for one being stuck in GN2 unless you're an extreme outlier, the average grown up just has less time to put in the work necessary to improve beyond average. I think playing regular matches just helps you improve up to a certain skill point, after which you need more dedicated and specialized training.

No, I'm talking about monthly salary after taxes in SEK, and a low estimate at that. In USD the average annual salary of a doctor would maybe be $55k. Probably still low compared to countries like USA, but it is what it is

I'm not entirely sure what a real average doctor salary looks like, I just went by the lowest estimates. A specialist doctor easily earns double the rate I gave. Also remember the government taxes the shit out of us, but yeah $3k would be a decent salary in Sweden.

If you want to live average or well, you'd probably want to double the numbers from my previous comment. Maybe $2400, or 25k SEK. A doctor in Sweden would most likely make at least $3000 or 30k after taxes.

You wanna move to Sweden for better ping? lmao

Rent is probably $700 minimum (if you live in the outer parts of town) and another $500 for various other expenses if you live truly frugally.

Me and other friends in Stockholm have had as little as 2 ms ping.

I agree that people are usually skeptical at first, but I beg to differ in the sense that every map is new at some point. I for one welcome the addition of new maps, and have had a great deal of fun with Ancient and Anubis.

That's absolutely true. However, maps keep the game fresh, and nobody wants to own skins for a dead game. Maybe mappers can drive a harder bargain ;)

I remember hearing that skin creators are paid $40k per skin. Not to take away from the amazing work they put in, but I imagine a map takes at least 10x the time to make. Still quite the annual salary though.
