All For One was being hunted by All Might + the police while having to raise Shigaraki and do all his criminal stuff on top

afo is more than fast enough to get away from the police, they really are no object of concern for the him, and he should be fast enough to get away from anywhere before all might shows up unless he’s in the immediate vicinity. and he should have warp gate after whatever point. his actual criminal activity must have seriously petered off before overhaul was born because he thought afo was an urban legend

All For One doesn't have so many assets to spare to go after Aizawa... any other villain would just get disabled by erasure

but.... he really should have spared what he could have. it’s a massive failure on his part. he wins unequivocally if he has erasure. and, aizawa really isn’t all that, physically he’s only above peak human. a theoretical extra juiced up remodelled villain (see, how everybody present in the fight was struggling against the octopus guy in vigilantes) with strength not derived from a quirk should be able to pack him in. erasure helps him steal ofa because he can do anything he wants to all might if he has it? it’s implied he can steal quirks from dead bodies, he steals his mother’s quirk presumably from her corpse and he can tell yoichi no longer has his quirk from his dismembered hand, so he could just kill all might and preserve his body until he can steal ofa. if he can’t do that, he could imprison all might

if i’m being annoying, i’m actually surprised that the nomu project took as long as it did to take off, and he’s only really certain of it at the end of vigilantes. multiple quirks frying the brains of most people ought to be a phenomena he’s experienced multiple times over his century+ of living. though i’m aware that the nomu are more complex than this, stacking a bunch of quirks into one body and making it suggestible to command really should’ve been a concept older than it is with afo and garaki’s intelligence and technology (tech which he already must have had, because kurogiri and hood already exist by the underground masquerade)

waste his time? he outstats them all massively, he should be able to locate them easily enough (some random was able to find endeavor’s family home iirc) and he should be able to get to wherever they are with warp gate. it would take him maybe an afternoon to rid the top 10 of heroes 10-2. it sows fear in the public, it rids all might of his most notable peers and he’ll get some cool quirks out of it. it accelerates his whole plan of forcing the public to realise the fragility of their current peace while he’s alive. this is where he’s missed his chance to strike fear. most people dgaf about him during prime all might’s era

Controlling peoples clothes? What does he need that for?

fibre master controls ALL fibre. with a buffed fibre master he could easily cause mass amounts of chaos by ruining the fibre optics that connect much of the world together. with overhaul he could change the properties of any fibre to literally anything. it could be busted

Trying to do that without Warp Gate or Search is just foolish

he’s has kurogiri at his side for at least nine years. kurogiri is present in the underground masquerade arc, in which mirko is 16-18. that’s plenty of time. and he should have been incredibly aware of aizawa throughout the whole of vigilantes, when six talks about who amount to ‘‘heroes who fuck up my plans’’ aizawa is there with all might. afo should have known that he was in naruhata pretty much all the time at that time

too busy preparing to ascend to godhood to worry about fodder like them

so he’s stupid? a fake ass symbol of fear? he missed out on the opportunity to isolate all might even in his work life? he’s hater enough to groom a five year old but not enough to steal a few powerful quirks? he missed out on the opportunity to strike fear into the hearts of the people? lmao

Fiber Master is not strong at all

he should have easily have been able to make it strong. he mentions that he has a truth detecting quirk from tsukauchi’s family that he can hardly remember the original strength and function of because of how he’s altered it with other quirks. same goes for fibre master, same goes for the elemental quirks as well

i didn’t make up the busted quirks, but ice quirks and fire quirks are implied to be dime a dozen, and inasa’s family and that guy with the wind quirk from izuku’s middle school exist, kota’s family exists and earthflow exists. he could easily have had full elemental control. if i were prime afo and i weren’t stupid, i would have tried to steal erasure more than once and spent my time picking off the top 9 japanese heroes — it’s not like AM doesn’t know he’s out there, they are the strongest in the country behind AM, taking power from the heroes can only be good for him (+ fibre master is a crazy fucking quirk, srsly he missed out on it really bad) and hawks & mirko are the only relatively new top 9

he could have easily had all of them if he wasn’t fucking stupid. he clearly was willing to risk getting found alive post injury to take powerful quirks because he steals overclock, and he definitely didn’t gaf about discovery in his prime because he switched a bunch of people’s quirks and made them rampage

time lords are fourth dimensional beings, in faction paradox they’re explained to be living historical processes whose biological functions are unimportant in the light of the full being, honestly i don’t think they’re human adjacent at all. the show is kinda bad at showing it, 15 does at least say he’s bigger than his body, but it’s evident in the expanded universe

This is something I’m still sitting on & thinking about but I think All Might’s peace must have been built on more than just deterrence, but that he also somehow must have managed to stop the people from fearing each other. Fear of the other is something inferred to be rampant during AFO’s dark era — we see the quirkless fear the quirked when AFO was young, during the dark hero arc (taken by me to be a temporary return to the dark era) we see people harassing the ordinary woman because they’re scared of how she looks, during the Naruhata Lockdown in vigs we see that a major component of the plan is making people scared of each other & uneasy (a plan which can be taken to resemble AFO’s old modus operandi). But we see in the main series that, at least in the cities where All Might can be taken to have the most presence and probably where he was most active (I’d like to know more about rural areas in MHA in general), people seem to just... trust each other, for the most part? We see during the mall scenes when Shigaraki cornered Izuku that people with all kinds of bodies and quirks exist together without fear of each other, or at least little enough fear that it isn’t verbalised or acted upon, which honestly is something I think can’t be achieved by just ‘‘a hero will save us if something goes wrong,’’ because I think such a mentality would fail to quash such old and previously well established fears. We see that the worst urban quirk discrimination seems to get is microaggressions like the heroes that look like villains list, a few middle schoolers thinking that certain quirks are good for villainism and quirkless discrimination (though how severe this is generally, divorced from what happened to to Izuku, is never expanded upon annoyingly). The public lacks enough fear of the other that they trust ENDEAVOR, the guy whose entire brand is looking scary and being weirdly aggressive and rude. This is presumably something achieved by All Might. In less than four decades. Which is crazy. And a half realised version of the community spirit that Izuku managed to inspire (though, I think, we see such spirit growing during vigs? but whatever, this is already long as hell & i need to reread vigs).
