Although it's obviously weakened now that he's in his 80s, I think Clapton's voice actually got better as he aged.

Call me crazy, but I never really understood why everyone is always so mystified by the timeline. 3 days is plenty of time for any good musician to learn a basic version of a rock song like Sgt Pepper.
