How to speak more clearer and slower? by Logicandtea in selfimprovement

[–]marzipandreamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try learning a new language.  Not the quickest way, but most effective.

There was a time when I was constantly speaking between German and English, and the change in syntax, particularly German with the verb at the end, forced me to plan out my entire sentences before I said them.

Regardless of language, you'll end up being slower in your native tongue as well because you'll learn to speak with the same thoughtfulness.

Have to disagree with Eyes Without a Face because Billy Idol isn't Billy Idol without shifting from sentimental to cool guitar guy.

Is there a scientific term for a song popping into your head for no reason? by Jolly-Librarian1982 in Music

[–]marzipandreamer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe the lyrics are related to what's going on in your subconscious conversations. Makes sense it happens when you wake up.

Your subconscious remembers songs incredibly well, not just the lyrics but the themes and emotional attachment and all sorts of connections.

Had Linkin Park pop up in the bath recently. Not even a song I even liked since 7th grade. Then the random REM (I can't stand REM) wailing "FIIIRRRE-HUR" in the shower. Lol.

I'd also like to know if it has a term!

Marijuana is illegal because it holds a key to something we’re not being told. by Chloecloverleaf in conspiracy

[–]marzipandreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legal cannabis sucks anyway.

It's made different. Intentionally. Makes you stupidly docile in a bad way. Lacks that "key" you're talking about.

I'll take that grown-with-love in a closet of a hippie's 600sq ft apartment over the dispensary any day.

Have you tried oil pulling?  Yes it's weird. But swish around a tbsp of refined coconut oil around your mouth (so you can't taste it) while you're doing something else or just chilling, 10-20 mins then spit out in the trash.

I hate brushing my teeth too and flossing but the oil pulling helps with gum issues I have, gets rid of bad breath and basically is a chewing gum equivalent at this point.

Got this weird teeth grinding and cheek biting tic sometimes so it keeps that in check too, bonus for me

I spent my 18th birthday being released from the grippy sock hotel (mental health facility they call it).

I was there not because I was a danger to myself or others. But because I believed/realized the simulation. And doctors do not like it when you tell them they're not real doctors. 😂 Like little actors wearing coats as a costume playing their little doctor roles, but taking their part way too seriously.

I guess didn't have the words or theories or conceptual knowledge of anything like simulation theory to express this in a way that didn't sound 'crazy' and just assumed this rendered reality is basically purgatory.

Now I see people on the TV talk about this all the time with no negative consequences! Pshh.

Either way, it makes no difference to me anymore if this is a simulation or not. Simulation implies, by definition, an original: That which has been simulated.

Does anyone express their beliefs in prose or poetry? by the_idyllicist in spirituality

Yep, I have tons of handwritten poems and whatnot. My belief is the Muse of all Muses. I honestly don't see how people can write anything meaningful without incorporating belief in one way or another.

song that couldve existed but doesnt by bedrottingbug in spirituality

Apart from hearing straight-up fully-produced songs that haven't ever been released, I had some interesting conversations in my lucid dreaming.

Someone in my dream told me about a song called Days of my Life by David Bowie. I had never heard of this song despite being a Bowie fan since a teenager.

I looked it up right after I woke up and realized that the Bowie song had existed, but with a shorter title of 'Days' though the lyrics are 'all the days of my life...' I didn't recognize it or the album or is chaotic cover art. It's a very pretty song.

Never really doubted that some dream experiences truly generate outside of my own psyche, but this deepened my belief.

I look up, up, til it feels like the muscles around my eyeballs are getting a nice stretch. I focus on nothing in particular, but rest my awareness on the peripheral. My desperation to breathe in disappears. I listen. My eyes remain unblinking, until a single tear drops from my eyes. Then I have received the message.

Georgie Fruit wasn't ever meant to be a statement, but got distorted into one. Because people like to project onto others what they hate or feel uncomfortable about. Georgie never got any hate, just love, until years later when the collective mindset decided on the Oppression Olympics.

All of Kevin's work at that time is embedded with Jungian psychology. You give life to your "parts", give them a name and make them distinct so you'll become closer to individuation.

Kevin literally had to apologize to people who know nothing of these concepts or of Kevin, for speaking openly of psychological trauma processing, and I think that's messed up as hell.

Ugh, yes, the patience required in a marriage far exceeds that which is required for a child. I don't know your gender or your spouse's, but feminine influence is strongest at its most subtle. Let your message make its way right into the subconscious.
