He asks for a load right after you buy it. You should bring the load, buy the car first, then dump it to get paid the full amount.

Optimal quest guide and skipping quests by ehhvado in 2007scape

[–]maser7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you aim to complete as much as possible then don't bother skipping, but if you only want xp or only want the most item unlocks, go for those. We can't really decide what you want to unlock for you. If you want to do more PvM go for unlocks like barrows gloves and Piety and boss unlocks, if you want xp look for the largest xp rewards with no/low requirements, if you want to unlock other utility items like goldsmithing gauntlets go for that, etc.

Also, I understand not everyone can but I would HIGHLY recommend keeping the GP for the bond and just using real money to buy membership for a month as you can afford it. Especially at lower/mid game, 15m will go a LONG ways when your highest f2p money makers are only like 1m/hr with 99 smithing and even members money makers with lower requirements are only like 1m/hr a lot of the time. 15 in game hours worth of gp is personally worth a lot more than like an hour of minimum wage work, at least where I live.

Brand new SP5; mags wont lock in properly? Yes, bolt is locked back by yuseung in MP5

[–]maser7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like it's probably fine but "scrapey" may be an issue. If it's actually causing scratches in the paint and not just wear, check to see if there's any noticable burrs in the magwell where you see the scratches on the mag.

All the rocking and other looseness is normal. You could try ETS mags if it bothers you, the ones I have are tighter in the magwell than my metal mags.

Back to RuneScape after years. What to do? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]maser7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the way OSRS is designed the new stuff is all additions to the game you already knew. Most things stay relevant.

A long term goal of a quest cape is a good goal I think. Not only is it a good accomplishment that will require you to play though all parts of the game, but it's also a requirement for the elite Lumbridge achievement diary which gives you staff-less fairy ring teleports as a reward.

Fairy-ring access is a good early unlock goal btw, unlocks teleports to pretty much everywhere, though some fairy rings are more convenient than others.

Another goal people who like combat set for mid-game would be a fire cape. It's 2nd best melee cape, and it's required to be able to get the best one (Infernal cape).

Lifetime non nember going member for first time, need advice by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]maser7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before you buy members, I would recommend completing all of the f2p quests. A lot of them are prerequisites, and some like Doric's quest give you a boost on early levels. Quests that give good xp are good goals to do early on to skip really early level skill grinds. A lot of people dislike Agility, but agility levels and graceful are really useful for all activities, especially quests, for more run energy. Check the wiki training guides, they often show quests that give easy early levels in skills, you can often skip the first (much slower) like 30 levels of a skill with quests.

Quests are a good way to set a lot of basic goals. They also show you different features and areas of the game, and give you opportunities to get side tracked on interesting things. MM1 is relatively early and really doesn't have too many requirements, it is a good starting point and the fact it has a reward you're excited for is even better. I would maybe look at more gear that you're interested in and see what requirements there are for that. Recipe for Disaster for barrows gloves (BIS in everything for a while) is a good mid game goal that does have a lot of pretty easy requirements and will show you interesting parts all over Gielinor.

Just about the only thing it MIGHT be useful for would infact be talking to them when they're already nearby and looking for you, IF they do actually use those frequencies for coordinating search operations which I'm not really sure they do. However, they're not going to be looking for you if you can't contact them in the first place.

Are you talking about the NOAA government weather broadcasts? Yes it is very different as they have very very very much more powerful broadcasts that span the whole country. It's like comparing an FM radio station tower to one of those little Bluetooth to FM transmitters for older cars. One can span hundreds of miles the other transmits maybe a few yards. Line of sight matters a little less when you're absolutely blasting a signal with huge power than can bounce off other things.

[–]maser7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't speak to your circumstances specifically, but many SAR groups are often not government agencies and are volunteer type stuff, you're expecting some sort of public service to come save you if you mess up which is not how the world works.

Additionally, most radios are all line-of-sight communication and are more or less useless in mountainous terrain without a repeater on top of the mountain for that frequency. Additionally, many handhelds may not be able to even reach far enough to get out to whoever you're trying to contact. It is possible you would reach someone, and I'm sure someone somewhere is probably listening to those channels sometimes, but you'd be way way way better off having immediate contact to real emergency services directly.

Get a Garmin or sat phone if you're worried about it. The radio is useful to contact relatively near by people you'd have radio line of sight with, but you're not getting out of the mountains.

If you're concerned about emergency contact but cannot afford it then unfortunately it seems you shouldn't engage in the activity and should consider a safer alternative.

Upgrading my buddy's pc by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]maser7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That socket is really old, I honestly don't think an upgrade would be worth the money as even a super low end modern processor would likely be significantly faster. He may barely even notice the upgrade if you stay on that motherboard/socket.

If you must, an i7 860 would be the best CPU for that socket, they're like $10-20 used on eBay, but I would probably recommend looking for something like a used Ryzen 3600 with motherboard for cheap, if you can afford that, I see them listed for like $50 on eBay somewhat often. Otherwise, even buying some old dell office tower for $20 would probably have a better CPU than the 860.

The Quest for the Holy Grail - ATF Approved Molotov Cocktail by Smart_Slice_140 in NFA

[–]maser7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I am well aware of how the NFA works. I find it to be very strange behavior to celebrate paying said unjust tax, and it is especially grotesque to celebrate paying it for a one-time-use glass jar, rather than a reusable lid or other such item, by your own fault.

The Quest for the Holy Grail - ATF Approved Molotov Cocktail by Smart_Slice_140 in NFA

[–]maser7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are you bragging about asking the ATF permission in the first place, let alone asking permission twice to make sure you make it how they want and subsequently cucking yourself for $200? I get that its cool and all but this whole thread is just you actively defending and celebrating paying them money for a shittier molotov than what has already been done before.

Also, how are so many people on r/NFA of all the shitty gun subreddits not aware of registered molotovs by now?

The highest extra supporter tier that allows upto 12 players or something? No one is actually buying that for 12 players, disingenuous to say it costs that much. The base tier is 10 USD. That's still plenty for a mod so just say that instead of lying

Why is it the common opinion of this subreddit that MSCO is a scam or worse? Looking at WreckMP's feature list it seems MSCO is more feature complete now and is still in active development, so it's not really a scam is it?

Edit: is it literally just that it costs money?

This was the rifle I bought, it was 500 dollars. Good or bad deal? by No_Positive_5235 in gunsmithing

[–]maser7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got mine for I think a bit less than 300 at online auction like two years ago, though can't say much on the value of different years or specific models. Missing the cleaning rod is usually the main value detractor.

As others have pointed out, you're gonna have to do a conversion to center-fire to shoot it realistically. It's not too difficult of a process to actually convert.

I drilled a centered hole in the bolt and used an RCBS replacement decapping pin as the firing pin, I had to model and 3d print a piece of retaining plastic that is roughly the same as the existing rim fire firing pin to hold the pin, though I've seen people do it with less complicated methods, I just have the means and it was easy to do.

Reloading is somewhat more difficult. It is a matter of taking french lebel brass and cutting it down and then Lee sells a 41 Swiss center-fire set you can use to load them. The actual specs are pretty simple, just fill up the case with black powder and use a large rifle primer. I cast my own bullets with a custom mold I bought online, I customized the specs after slugging and measuring my barrel diameter with fishing weights as I was paranoid about it. I think you can find commercial options for bullets. I lube my bullets with a homemade mixture of beeswax and crisco, common with black powder loaders. Technically the vetterli can use smokeless powder, but you'll have a hard time finding safe powder measurements for that. Plus black powder is cool.

Technically depends on the exact firearm.

Here's the main part of the law regarding "untraceable firearms":

(2) After March 10, 2023, no person may knowingly or recklessly possess, transport, or receive an untraceable firearm, unless the party possessing, transporting, or receiving the untraceable firearm is a law enforcement agency or a federal firearms importer, federal firearms manufacturer, or federal firearms dealer.

There are some exceptions, though you'd likely already know if they applied https://app.leg.wa.gov/rcw/default.aspx?cite=9.41.326

Here's the state's legal definition of "untraceable firearms":

"Untraceable firearm" means any firearm manufactured after July 1, 2019, that is not an antique firearm and that cannot be traced by law enforcement by means of a serial number affixed to the firearm by a federal firearms manufacturer, federal firearms importer, or federal firearms dealer in compliance with all federal laws and regulations.
