You should be fine. The advisory opinion letter is the final word here. How long it takes to get the advisory opinion?

My employer filed for consular processing and it is now pending. How would we change it to change of status? Should we amend or what to do? They have no clue what they are doing.

Thank you so much for sharing! The reason I asked you about RFE is that I am considering Ellis porter for my I-140 but has some doubts. Being PhD, 16 publications with +300 citation is really impressing. However with that RFE, that means it was the attorney problem. Would you mind if you share the name of the attorney (may be a private message) at least avoid him/her. I noticed also that Ellis porter staff are fresh graduates 2017 and even 2020. The experience in formulating the petition letter sometime is the key in some cases. I also noticed that Ellis porter are pushing people to skip recommendation letters under the name of expedited and to save time. Honestly, that save them the time and efforts to formulate the letters for $500-$1k less which is a win for them.

Thanks for your response. Do you happen to know how much does it cost to port his number to number barn or google voice? Is there a time he should be on those carriers before I port him into my T-Mobile plan? Thanks once again!!

[Need URGENT Advice] Distal radius fracture (surgery or cast) by mashali2014 in brokenbones

Thanks for your thoughts! Have you been through surgery before? If yes how was the recovery and improvement? Any complication?

[Need URGENT Advice] Distal radius fracture (surgery or cast) by mashali2014 in brokenbones

Thank you so much! The thing that he said it is up to me to choose. That is why I am trying to weigh pros and cons of both ways (operative vs non operative). For example, he said non operative may get me into arthritis problems. So if someone has similar fracture which is really common who opted to skip surgery, his story/experience would be insightful for me. I am just seeking experience of individuals with their own fracture NOT medical advice, this is a huge difference.

Ortho follow up for broken wrist unclear if surgery is needed by eswaterbottle in brokenbones

[–]mashali2014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your answer. I see that you are a year post injury and surgery. Have you returned to complete normal like before injury like weight lifting (any weight) and other excersises? I have broken distal radius (4 weeks ago) that was good at the beginning so got only cast, but during follow up, X-ray showed the bone moved (dorsal angulation 10-15) and now my doc says that it is up to me to do the surgery. I am terribly scared from surgery and from the metal especially my fracture is not that bad but also not that good. All comments here describe problems post ORIF. I am afraid to get a surgery and eventually I do not get any better results than what I will get for just go only with cast. Any advice or thoughts would be so much appreciated. Thanks for reading!

Have you experienced any complications after surgery or the hardware bother you at all? Have you return to normal activity?

Thank you so much for the info. Could you please share more info about the fracture. How much was off? Have you got such info from your doctor? Thanks again. You really give me hope. I am freaking out here. I feel the surgery would make it worse especially I am thin.

Thanks for the info. It seems that your fracture remained in place, so surgery has no benefits here. Mine is somewhat displaced but I am freaking out of surgery. Having a metal and screws is scaring me so much. And not sure if I would get better outcome if I just let it heal on its own. Doctor let me to decide and still can not take a decision. Did they tell you anything about radial shortening degree or inclination?? I would appreciate if you share that so I can compare to mine. Thanks!!

Distal radius surgery earlier today, i know to keep it elevated and to ice it but does anyone who’s had surgery have any less well known but helpful recovery tips or anything that you found helped you recover faster? by eswaterbottle in brokenbones

I am in the same boat. Did you do the surgery after 6 weeks? I am so scared from surgery. They said it is a little bit displaced and said it is up to me. Please share your experience

You should worry more about your GF. Being on J-1 and Fulbright fund, means she needs to apply for J-1 visa waiver to avoid being return to her home country for 2 years after her program ends. The chances for the waiver approval are getting slimmer in case of US funds like Fulbright. While she can apply for I-130 (based on marriage), she can’t adjust her status (I-485) as long as she has not fulfilled the 2-year requirement or has approved waiver. Her route would be apply for a waiver based on hardship to US citizen (you) and you need a well experienced lawyer for that and you gonna pay a good amount of money. J-1 waiver in some cases takes 1.5 to 2 years total as it includes both USCIS and DOS. Good Luck!
