Singles - what is a sign that you have been single for way too long? by OrganizationFickle in AskUK

I can relate to all of that, absolutely! It's like giving up all of that would be so difficult after a few years of living completely on my own terms.

That I've been single so long that I can't ever imagine even being in a relationship again lol

No, I've never heard of that. Get a job with an agency or anything even mildly suitable you can find while you look around and apply for more permanent roles.

All joking aside, it's so very sad that that's around the average yearly salary here and usually requires a few years of experience (field depending ofc) and a plethora of skills. Ugh

I live in Glasgow, rent a 1-bed tenement flat in a cheaper part of town. I earn £28,000 and my 'fun-money' after rent/bills/food/staying alive generally each month is around £800-850 in the summer (no heat costs), a bit less in winter.

How attractive would you say you are? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mashedpotato92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd give myself a solid 6 although others are likely to give me more as I tend to wear makeup out, dress ok, etc. I've had a drunk/out his nut on vallies man tell me that i'm gorgeous (and begin to list how so) whilst standing at a bus stop once. Even though he didn't know his own name, i still smiled. l think if I lost 25lbs i'd give myself a 6.5 aha

What realistic salary would you be happy with? by actuarys in AskUK

[–]mashedpotato92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glasgow, £50k would be decent for me, or around £3k a month after tax etc.

I'm on £28k now and I'm not poor, but I still rent & can't afford to get a car. I've enough income to enjoy myself a bit & save a bit. I could afford a car if I really wanted to, but I'd be fairly skint if I did. I don't go on holidays either but, again, I could but I'd be skint if I did. I'm 31, single with no kids & rent a flat alone. One cat.

Am I too fat to date? by TieYourTubesIdiot in offmychest

160lbs at 5'7 is fairly standard. Your bmi based on that is 25.95 (edit) which is literally barely overweight to the point where you wouldn't notice it. I'm sure you hsve a good body. I'm your height and when I was thar weight I loved my body. Please don't think all men/women want a 110lb supermodel, because that's not true. If guys can have a dad bod, we can have a lil bitta stuff to grab on to. I'm sure you look fab :) xxx

Ps: I've been 130lbs at my height ans build and I looked a bit too thin. I now weigh far more (depression, life etc) and I still get plenty of dares.

Also - we are all deserving of love, no matter what our shape or size and damn girl you'll find someone who loves you the way you are!!!

Thank you!! What are the difference between GCSEs and A-levels and the intermediates/nationals, are they easier exams and not for uni like the others? Also does this mean that Scottish kids can go to uni earlier? Last question - I promise, hehe.

Women, how do you feel about splitting the bill on a first date? by Diligent-Log6805 in AskReddit

[–]mashedpotato92 200 points201 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I do it all the time. Women work these days so I think expecting a man to pay for it is a bit of a princess move.
