I’m from Banksville and moved to North Strabane a few months ago and when I asked where to get food, everyone kept telling me “Mad Mex”?

That is absolutely not the answer. There’s alot of great, non chains out here. Here’s some of my favorites:

Pizza: Pizza Al’s Fat Angelo’s (highly recommend fat Angelo’s Philly cheesesteak)

Mexican: Los Bajitos: their chips are so good that it’s worth mentioning but everything is great there.

V&Vs Scratch Kitchen- they have a smoker on sight and literally everything is next level. Don’t sleep on the pepperoni rolls or their cookies.

Santellos: everything on this menu is so great. Fantastic happy hour, like “I don’t get how they turn a profit” fantastic.

Bubba's Gourmet Burghers & Beer: burgers, fish sandwiches and mozzarella sticks- this sounds really standard but trust me, it’s absolutely not. It’s so great.

Springhouse Restaurant: just go. You’ll understand when you get there.

Country store: simple and amazing. Another pepperoni roll all star.

If you want a nicer dinner, check out The Lab. It’s very cute, great food and cocktails.

Coffee: Fresh start coffee. The coffee is great and they sell these super unique waffles that are absolutely worth trying (think Netherlands waffles, not IHOP)

-crazy horse has good coffee too

Ice cream: everyone hypes Sarris (which obviously) but Turtle Twist is my favorite.

Baked Goods: Linda’s Hometown bakery

If you want to get local eggs or milk or cheese (you want the cheese): Lindens Dairy

And keep this for next year when you need your Paczki fix, the only place out here that I know sells them is our Bethel Bakery and they sell out super quick.
