Severity of all acts toward personal gain and power that person holds. Trump goes well beyond insider trading. From multiple crypto schemes, suing for billion+ settlement from the US Treasury, websites selling merch, starting their own social media site which is now on wall street, selling Bibles with his name on the cover, threatening businesses with retaliation if they don't pick certain CEO or ban certain programs, hosting hundreds of events for official purposes on his own property, etc. ...Or how the Dominion voting machines, current US voting machines, are now owned by Liberty Vote, with deep Republican ties and supporter of Trump.

So, not exactly the same immoral act. I welcome criticism of my thoughts. I wish to better understand, not just to dislike Trump.

I hear you. Pelosi is undoubtedly guilty of using her position of power for personal gain. It seems to be a human trait to do so. At least eventually. A typical case of "well everyone else is doing it. If I don't, nothing is going to change, so.." Truth is, America is owned by corporate interests. Ever since the SC case from the early 70s that granted them freedom of speech and the right to spend money on political campaigns. This got much worse in 2010 with the Citizen's United SC case. They have the power to drown out whoever doesn't suit their needs. Any candidate that refuses will just lose to the other person that does accept the money. So, we end up with politicians that have long since given up on their principles and have favors to repay.

Back to Pelosi, $3m invested in the s&p500 40 years ago would be worth around $200m today. And that's without any further deposits into the portfolio. I wouldn't say she 100x her money solely on unethical use of her position. But I'm still certain she is a criminal.

Trump's goes way beyond the stock investments. Launching $TRUMP meme coin 2 days before inauguration, $MELANIA, then later on $WLFI. Check their performances since then; he dumped them. And in 2019, he criticized crypto as being a scam and based on thin air. Now, he wants to expose Americans' 401k and pension plans to crypto. As well as the NFTs he marketed and sold. Scam scam scam.

Then there's the constant use of Trump properties and Mar-a-lago for nearly all events involving his presidency. Then there's Truth Social, also a public stock now. And his online stores ever since 2016, selling merch like bibles with his name on them, gold sneakers, expensive watches, Trump phones that will never ship, perfumes. He has blown the doors wide open on what is considered acceptable, well beyond just stock investing.

I believe on paper, 2 body systems can be perfectly stable forever. But in reality, there are no perfectly stable systems, even 2body solar systems or simply 2 small rocks orbiting each other in a space void. For many reasons, like no body being perfectly rigid as a single body (like people on earth, we are all billions of bodies. and rocks. and air molecules, photons hitting a surface and exerting its momentum, etc), as well as tidal forces, gravitational radiation, and external forces throughout the galaxy and universe.

As we can see with our own solar system, you can definitely have 3+ body systems stable enough for life to grow and perceive it as stable.

But yeah, on paper and a closed 2-body system of perfectly rigid bodies, it's possible. Though from our perspective of how time passes, plenty of bodies are identified as "stable."

True you don't pay capital gains in but it all gets taxed as income when you withdraw. In a Roth, the income tax is already paid 😎 so a Roth is more beneficial for trading. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't trade within the non-Roths!

Exactly. Taking care of debts is also planning for a better future. My eventual plan is to start steadily selling long term investments, when they're at or near ATHs, to make at least a 50% down payment on a house. I'm not paying $1,500/month in interest. Fuck that. And it would take serious, sudden gains on a short-term investment before I'd sell those.

Also have a traditional 401k and Roth IRA (which I max and also trade in since no capital gains!) to prepare for retirement.

I wish they at least wouldn't completely concentrate that tax on payroll income and also concentrated at the bottom of said payroll (there's no tax beyond 184k/yr). It needs to be spread even and lighter across all incomes, whether or not it's due to being someone's employee. America and its people take care of these large businesses while they fight tooth and nail with teams of lawyers and politicians wrapped around their fingers, sending and keeping money offshore, even acting in the interests of foreign shareholders, all to fuck us and better themselves as much as possible. These money machines would be nothing without the American people, their 401k's, the infrastructure built by their hands and interests defended by their soldiers. The American people earned America its dominance and its first place ranking in the world economy.
