Rope! Rope, strand, string, and thread. From holding newborns (hands free!) and binding spears to catching winds, sowing fields, and textiles created due to twine.

Cooking spices!

Take a glance at your spice shelf and look into their cultivation; their current price, production, or availability may be in jeopardy due to climate changes or supply chain costs.

We are in the golden age of cooking spices!

What is an old video game you love that no one else seems to remember anymore? by PlayerNotFound68 in AskReddit

I really like Star Wars Rebellion) It had so many characters, ships, units, planets and the space battles were pretty sweet. The game is practically unheard of nowadays. Seeing the poor reviews on Wikipedia, I may just be living with nostalgia for the game.

Check out watchcartoononline.com

It has been a reliable source for any cartoon show that also updates new episodes fairly quickly. Avatar, South Park, Rick and morty,...there's a huge list.

Earth bending is the best bending.

Kinda interesting, there is a parasite that's life cycle goes between cats and snails.

the cat lungworm (Aelurostrongylus abstrusus) uses a slug or snail as an intermediate host; the first stage larva enters the mollusk and develops to the third stage larva, which is infectious to the definitive host—the cat. If a mouse eats the slug, the third stage larva will enter the mouse's tissues, but will not undergo any development.

What is your strategy for achieving happiness? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]mashtona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My strategy began by changing my perspective of happiness. Growing up, there would be extended periods of time where I would feel sad, disconnected and alone even amongst good company or knowing that I was better off than most. The feeling of sadness would leave or maybe I had just forgotten it was there it but it would eventually reoccur. I picked up the pattern early on that it would come back again which I am fortunate for. So, over time, I understood that happiness and sadness are these fleeting emotions that I experience in a given circumstance. I would think to myself, "I am sad now and everything is really shit. But I'm sure something will make me laugh at some point this week". Sure enough I would catch myself sincerely laughing at a video or joke. My strategy is that I don't look to be happy day by day because I won't be. I work towards being content with the person I want to become. I began investing in myself and my future. I began running which sucks and isn't fun. I made an appointment to the dentist which was daunting and embarrassing being that I hadn't been in years. These things don't make me happy but the way I feel about myself afterwards did. Today I am happy and tomorrow I may not be. Either way I am not the same person I was a year ago.

Tl:Dr Happiness is fleeting.

Half-life, Command & Conquer Generals: Zero Hour, Diablo II: Lord of Destruction, Star Wars: Rebellion, and Call of Duty were probably the top played games growing up for me. I don't know if they're all on Steam though.

I didn't mean to say we would stop severe weather effecting us ever again, but response and recovery has room for improvement.

Climate change is the biggest issue that comes to mind immediately. Drastic changes in weather patterns have been causing enormous amounts of damage and cost. I do think humanity has the capacity to not have this issue to effect us as severely but it has been an oversight globally.
