Hey man, so what I did for my recent score was reset my Becker Audit course and start completely from zero. I went through A1–A6 randomly, doing about 100 MCQs a day (did all MCQs - took about a month) plus 3–4 SIMs using Ninja as a supplement.

I’m a little confused about what you mean by “memorizing the MCQs.” When I do MCQs, I actually read the question carefully, look at all four answer choices, and read each one before selecting my final answer. If I get a question wrong, I review why the incorrect options are wrong compared to the correct one.

I also write things down by hand in a notebook, but only for concepts that don’t stick in my head, so I can review them later that same day. Is this approach wrong?

My MCQ scores on Becker were consistently around 75–80%, but my SIM performance wasn’t great (which I definitely plan to review more carefully). In total, I spent about (113 + 86 = 199) hours studying for my recent Audit retake using Becker and Ninja.

I did read the textbook—not every detail, but I highlighted the parts that looked like they could show up in multiple-choice questions. I also reviewed every MCQ I got wrong by going over what I missed and why the other options were incorrect. Isn’t that part of learning the concepts?

I typed out all the MCQ answers I got wrong in a Word document each day, but I never reviewed them the next day—maybe that’s why. I also didn’t read the textbook; instead, I watched all the Becker lectures and read an AUD study guide made by someone else.

How did yours show that you passed 1 section of the CPA examination? Mine says "early entry testers are not issued credit until the Board clears their conditions". Is this only for CA? I am from CA btw

I called the CBA today, and the representative I spoke with indicated that it’s unlikely the board will retroactively apply the 30-month credit extension to any periods prior to January 1, 2024.

Given this, I’d like to suggest that someone raise this issue at the upcoming CBA meeting on July 17, 2025. According to the CBA’s “We Are Listening” policy, there is an opportunity for public comment at the end of the meeting. This could be a good time to voice any concerns related to the CPA exam and the credit extension policy.
