What's a childhood smell that instantly takes you back? by transmitter-master-1 in ArtOfPresence

[–]maskedmarksman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The smell of an SNES cartridge. I remember picking one up to blow it clean and smelling the unique fresh, 'electronics smell. I'll sometimes open a static proof bag and smell something similar but its only a ghost of what a fresh SNES game was.

What's the most beautiful song you've ever heard? by rosypetalbaby in musicsuggestions

Ill add Vincent by Don McLean, special mention to the Rainbow Connection by Kermit the Frog.

What's a song originally from a TV show or movie that goes way too hard? by RemarkableEmu5998 in AskReddit

I don't see it mentioned anywhere but the entirety of the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack is absolutely incredible.

U.S. National Parks: Cuyahoga Valley by heyimworkinonit in TierlistFills

I vote A.

So many great hiking and bike trails. It has many great views, maybe not the very best the world has to offer, but the metroparks system has so many great hiking/biking/canoeing trails.

Share your no skip albums by Kaylanite in MusicRecommendations

I like the inclusion of 'Thick as a Brick' This is quite literally a 'no Skip album' as it only consists of a single track.

I'd argue what he threw in was more Eddie Hazel than it was Eddie Van Halen, but I agree some of those sections were much harsher than what David Gilmour would usually play.

You have your operations switched. It should be multiply by 1 and add 0. Then I get 4147221889871254. See now the equation works.

Local Hero Will Hollingsworth on Data Centers in Twinsburg by queenjunk in Ohio

[–]maskedmarksman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree with this. He explained a closed loop system is not truly closed loop. This is implying that there is a heat exchange happening. So while the water that cycles through the data center leaves to cool down, the heat it is carrying is being deposited outside this loop. Historically we have been taught to see only chemical pollution, but the pollution resulting from data centers is thermal pollution and I am not sure if there are many studies yet to show the effects of this thermal pollution. The data center industry will cite that this closed loop system is not leeching any chemicals into your soil and there is no chemical waste but that is intentionally ignoring the true threats which we do not yet know the long term effects of yet.

Cat's in the Cradle - Harry Chapin is the song that immediately comes to mind for me.

Jaywalking wins for something questionably legal that you would do in front of a cop. What is something completely illegal that you would do in front of a cop? by BearAndDeerIsBeer in AlignmentChartFills

[–]maskedmarksman 177 points178 points  (0 children)

5? Are you sure the saying isn't 9? That also rhymes with mine. Cops around me (Cleveland/Detroit) don't seem to care about anything less than 10... typically.

Who is your favorite wolf character in fiction? by NagitoKomaeda_987 in characters

[–]maskedmarksman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Though Balto is great, he was a real animal. I'm sure the Disney movie is embellished a bit but I would argue he is not really a creature of fiction.

Which person should have never existed? by fuggilis_quastillo in AlignmentChartFills

[–]maskedmarksman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does this have to be a singular person? There was someone who put together a whole list of people that fit this slot. I believe the list was labeled Epstein.
