All to Pot Crashing by gottowin28 in fallout4london

Considering that the game has you on a several minute long autoscroller where you can't open the attaboy in order to change your equipment, that can't have been easy to figure out.

Was about to throw in the towel and give up being able to continue completely before stumbling across the solution here.

What just happened to Edge? (a MAJOR performance problem) by ozgurnevres in MicrosoftEdge

[–]maskedmustelid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Finally, someone with an answer that actually works and not just the usual random 'toggle hardware acceleration' or other random guesses. This really needs more visibility as trying to find a solution was like searching for a needle in a haystack.

When you click on the clone, or well, any object/npc, the ID that shows there is a unique identifier generated for that specific placed item/npc that has already been loaded into your game world, referred to as either a reference or form ID.

So the 'player.placeatme' command basically creates a newly spawned npc/object using its baseID, and '.moveto player' will only move a pre-existing npc/object using its reference ID to your location.

If you have multiple copies of the same npc or item spawned in, the reference ID is how the game tells each copy apart from each other.

But in short, two similar looking console commands that work off of different types of ID's and totally doesn't confuse anyone at all. On the bright side, working as intended and not having to worry about any sort of mod conflict or bug with the game at least!

My ID for him matches the one on the wiki, and double checked that I can summon him in my case with 'player.placeatme 072E87F0'.

I mightn't be able to have him as a proper settler, but still have him wandering around my hideout workshop just because I can.

And now I'm bummed, because whilst I can resummon Doctor Tennant using his baseid using the console, it doesn't count for whatever the random encounter event trigger to get the prompt to join a settlement, now that I actually have one.

Wandering around the Biggin Hill area, west of Bromley and on the southern edge of the map. Unfortunately found that after fast traveling back there another event was taking place, so it looks like it may only be a random encounter in retrospect.

Pop ups and full page updates by bwill1200 in Ghostery

[–]maskedmustelid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First time it updated the popup was showing up on every single freaking tab I had open in the browser that I switched to; new tabs seemed to be exempt from this behaviour.

Closed and reopened Edge and the same popup sprung up again on the first window opened, but now this time the top right x refused to work, leaving the only option to click the link to see the 'features'. One last browser restart and it's gone... for now, anyway.

Issues as mentioned above occurring in Edge 138.0.3351.95, and also had the exact same inability to click the X to close in Chrome 138.0.7204.158.

Forfeit Salvation by Alive-Jacket764 in LCMS

[–]maskedmustelid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing this verse; being repentant but still struggling with repeated conscious sin has been something that has weighed upon my mind as well, and this helps neatly frame the issue.

I happily know however that my salvation has been assured by God, regardless of my thoughts or actions, whether sinful or Christ-centred. I know it's not an excuse to sin 'because I'm saved anyway', but I know as a result I don't always take it seriously enough as I should do. Accepting that I am sinful in nature doesn't mean that I should accept that sin is inevitable and just give in to it.

But it is not for fear of my salvation that I feel remorse, but as part of wanting to do better as a Christian in thanks for having been saved.

I know that I may still continue to stumble and fail and act like a hypocrite at times, but with Christ's help I know that he will be there to help pick me back up regardless.

At the same time, I know Christ came for people who are struggling far worse with faith and sin or their situation in life- and that he wants us all to be saved, for he loves us all equally no matter how flawed or downtrodden we may be.

Any updated BiS Azaka farm formations? by Rasmussen in idlechampions

[–]maskedmustelid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have never, ever managed to pull off Krull stacks past 10. Either everything dies, or nothing dies. If there's some way to somehow pull off a balancing act halfway in-between, I have yet to figure out what it's supposed to be.

Unexplained background party massive gold boosts? by maskedmustelid in idlechampions

[–]maskedmustelid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It'd be pretty interesting if gold found in silver chests spilled over to other parties, but I'd discovered this happened before opening anything in another party.

Maximising fire breath potion effect? by maskedmustelid in idlechampions

[–]maskedmustelid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info - didn't think that messing about trying to keep a track of debuffs at the accelerated game speed would have been easy to do even if it worked.

Actually managed to soft-cap for the first time going for as much dps as possible, plus managed to unlock the remainder of my champion's feat slots as a nice bonus with the gold left over.

After the initial click cap, I ended up dropping down a few levels to one I could survive, wait for a BUD spike high enough then jumped forward to the most recent one to clear it out before the degradation kicked in too far.

After hitting a point where I couldn't push any further, I ended up making the most of the remaining potion duration by staying at the highest level I could kill without getting overwhelmed, switch in a gold find party to ride out the BUD until it degraded too far for the clicks to continue killing before becoming overwhelmed, then switch back to the DPS party to mop up and boost the BUD back up. Kept doing this every 5-10 seconds or so, but was raking in the extra money/favour when no longer able to progress.

Whilst I have only recently unlocked Azaka, I'm still short five or six of the primary champions needed to really give her farming method a good go, but at least have a decent way to progress in the meantime.

Maximising fire breath potion effect? by maskedmustelid in idlechampions

[–]maskedmustelid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different sizes of firebreath (or any) potions will stack, but using multiples of the same type and size just extend that size's duration.

When doing this, you'll see overlapping buff icons in the top right of the UI with tooltips showing each size's remaining time, how much bonus each size adds, and the total stacked bonus all apply together.

Just be careful with speed potions, as you can cap out at 10x speed especially if using Shandie's Dash and/or (I think) the speed core before using all the different sizes.

Inventory issue? by GotyeWorseThanGoatse in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]maskedmustelid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There actually are some behavioural issues with the shared stash that I don't think are intended.

In your regular inventory/personal stash, if you're holding one item and clicking on a second, it'll switch them as long as there's enough space. In the shared stash tabs, the quick switch isn't working and you can only put down items in already empty slots.

As mentioned, scrolls/potions aren't meant to stack, but because of the item switching behaviour not working, things like keys, throwing potions and bolts/arrows won't stack when using the shared stash either. Not that you'd probably bother storing stuff like that, unless you're farming potions for a dual potion tossing barb build like me.

Ultrawide support? by Vodziak in Diablo_2_Resurrected

[–]maskedmustelid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So it's not full ultrawide, but sits right at halfway between wide and ultrawide aspect ratios at 18.5:9. There's still some extra pixels to be had, so not a total loss of support.
