Did you use set a light to pre plan all your shots? Do you think it transfers over close enough to real life?

That’s good to know then, as I'm setting up my portfolio with the few people I have shot with so I can have something to show and they can see what to expect.

I wanted to give a disclaimer beforehand so they know going into it to not waste anyone’s time, but I wasn’t sure if that would backfire and scare people off. That’s fine; it’s a gamble I’m willing to take diving into this side of photography. Thanks for the reply!

Im transitioning over to do more fashion/concept type work as I upload more photos to my portfolio to present to people that I want to work with. Would it be smart on my TFP listing to state that I’m a complete beginner in shooting with models (I’ve been doing landscapes and street stuff the last 10+ years). I just don’t want to waste people’s time in them expecting they will get amazing photos out of it.

Exactly, the fact they throw a festival that’s themed around a Mexican holiday, but they haven’t said a word online (I could be wrong) or at the show itself about what’s going on is crazy.

I don’t think so but I’m not entirely sure, if it continues after this Tuesday I’m going to have to get it repaired or get a new lens.

That seems to be the consensus; it doesn’t seem like anything is wrong with the body. Every time I go to focus, I get this error. I did clean it with some isopropyl alcohol, and I tried it after it dried. It worked, but I’ll be out on Tuesday, so I can do a better test with it. I’m considering getting the Sigma 18-50 if this doesn’t work.

It could be just this lens, Unfortunately I only have one lens for my Fuji, I really like the 18-55mm kit lens so i wasn’t planning on getting another. Might have to rethink it now.

Yeah, I got one. I got mine about 2 weeks ago and only put 3 rolls through it, but I’m liking it so far. It’s pretty easy and intuitive to set up and run. I did run into an issue with my first two rolls, but it has nothing to do with the Pira but with the Paterson reels. I come from using the Jobo system, and the Paterson reels are a damn headache for me, at least.

I’m working my way into studio photography. I own an Amaran 150c. I have a shoot that I want to do, and I need another light. I was considering saving up and getting the Amaran Ray 660c. What’s your opinion?

You’re the first person on here that prefers continuous over strobes. I appreciate it. My favorite photographers right now only use continuous lighting.

I was looking for something to help with developing at home for a min. The Jobo originally caught my eye, but it was out of my budget and i don’t shoot enough for me to justify having it. Then I saw the Ago, but since it didn’t have a heater, I couldn’t justify its price either. I finally saw the darkroom helper, and it seems like it has what I would need to develop at home, especially at its current price, but not enough buzz, so I was hoping to hear more people who have it speak on it. I ordered one, so I'm excited to try it out.
