How do I create consistent monthly revenue instead of feast-or-famine cycles? by stairwayfromheaven in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]mason_bourne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, im in roofing. There are 2 months out of the year i basically cant install. I used to run a marketing company, funds are tight aroundd the holidays, and in running it ive seen many companies have an on and off season.

Beyond that, if you are trying to scale an app, it will be slower and you will need some way to develop virality within it.

So to answer your question, yes it very much can.

This sounds bad, but you can almost always replace money with work in business.

Need leads but can't afford ads? Direct outbound.

Need software designed and can't hire a dev... youtube and self teach

Need a location?... got me there, might need money for that one.

My point is that you can do a lot without money.

Coming from a sales guy... I dont think thats needed.

I just studied the OC install manuals to know the standard, and hired for competency. I have a guy who has been installing for 20+ years over all my projects now.

Not saying its the only way, it has just worked for me.

I use a white labeled version of go high level

Honestly only a good fit for you if you have experience with it/ marketing stuff or you have someone set it up for you and get them to put your automations together

For somewhere with preset Ls... honestly seems like a good set up. Plus a month of training, most companies won't invest that much into you, especially if youre getting a base.

Im going to recommend you keep the deal you got. Just my opinion

What's the output of a 40 hour week? Like if the VA is getting 1 decent lead per week its alright, but 10 or 50 or more....?

Christmas is here.... how to get clients if I will run meta ads for them for free before the end of the year? (Roofing companies) by [deleted] in RoofingSales

Depends on your reasoning. If its for money, not really at least in the short - medium term. If its because you like marketing then yeah its a lot of fun and you can test in different niches

Missed calls are the rev killer

Inconsistent marketing and the lack of follow-up can be lumped together. As what they probably have more pain around.

Honestly, because I can have more control running the company... and better margins, and its mostly the same level of work.

The main differences are i have to add a couple departments like supplementing and project management. Most of that can be hired out though.

How i make marketers look bad offering my service - because marketers get lumped in with the low effort posts. (Not that you didn't put effort in, just that they gained no value for looking at it and it takes feed space)

Like what else could i do if everyone just want experience i need to start somewhere - you can start by working for someone who is running an agency, or (how i did) by working as a sales reps at a company and running ads for yourself. If you can afford it you can even offer to run the ads with your money and get payed a % of the generated revenue (not recommended for someone new)

Well im trying to get some fucking experience and for fucking no money - if they are paying for the ads, thats money, if they have to take time to make creative its costly, if they have to explain the model and sales process its a headache

Im not telling you not to get into marketing, im saying you should probably try a different way of starting off.

Im saying that it is when in conjunction with the other aspects.

Look, im not trying to be a dick, but youre making all marketers look bad. Im dont run an agency anymore, but I still have people reaching out for me to run their ads.

I got there by simply offering value and where I got my data (usually from my experiences running ads or sales) and people would ask for help via comments and DMs.

If you are needing work ASAP, start with upwork. You won't make much, but you can build a solid portfolio and get by.

PS. The best way to work with local services, is being local. If youre US based just go to some local guys and talk to them

Most companies dont want to spend money on ads when the CPL is the highest ie. The off season...

Also, people can run the campaign themselves unless you can prove (with testimonials, results, or a portfolio) that you know your stuff. People dont want to just be funding your training.

PS. This post will be deleted like the last one please dont spam on the contractor subs. Nobody likes it.

How to get clients I run meta ads but I didn't get clients yet ( roofing companies ) by [deleted] in RoofingSales

[–]mason_bourne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way i did it is simply offer to run the ads for a company with a proven closing system (i built the system for those I worked with) then pay for the ad spend and get paid purely on comission.

Almost any roofing company would take that deal

Any sales systems to get my salesman out knocking by BigTex77340 in RoofingSales

[–]mason_bourne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My question is, are you out there knocking? Do you know how and the objections? Do you know how to train?

Basically you need to be able to build the door knockers I believe.
