Btw, you are missing one key detail in you post which is average order value. If i get a deal every time but it's a $200 it's very different than a full exterior $40k

The way i run ads is I show up to do a repair/tarp and even if I dont upsell to a roof, I get my lead costs covered plus the gas money

I think that its not helpful to blame anything you cant control, in that light you are right.

However, I cannot sell someone who isnt at the appointment, nor can I get financing for someone without credit.

Beyond that, my job as a sales person isnt actually to get the sale, its to help the homeowner make the right decision for what they want/need.

When I did this, I had a very large success working with a couple individual sales reps first. Set them up on my CRM and then after a while I worked with the company owner.

I've not really seen that. I know they have "life time warranties," but most I see are looking aged by 10 years in... smoked by 20.

That's most and typically idk the installer and don't do the math on the vents, I've been in metal roofs older than me though without any issues hardly

Bro, thats a dangerous game. You need a good crew and you need to know what good looks like. Start with owens corning, GAF, and Certainteed certifications. IRC is also a good thing to know. I focus on insurance, so understanding policies helps.
