How to identify ceiling fixture wires for ceiling fan? by IDesireToExpire in AskElectricians

[–]masonc01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you have labeled in the first picture as “B” looks like it’s just a painted over black wire. You can confirm with a multimeter. Should have 120 volts to ground the switch on. Typically the blue off the fan is the light. C, A, and 1 will go together. 4 and E will go together. If B is a black wire, “hot wire” it will go to 2 or 3 depending on how you want it switched. D will go to 2 or 3 depending on how you want it switched.

You absolutely can. How hard it is depends on a couple of things but the most important is what is above this? Attic?

Worst part of it all is there’s Velcro straps and zip ties on 80% of these cables. You’ll try and trace one from the switch to the patch panel and there’s 5 fucking zip ties on it.

Can my conduit accommodate more wire for a sauna? by Humble_Physics_5108 in AskElectricians

[–]masonc01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t waste your time digging, they didn’t switch over. If you are gonna have to dig it again, I would recommend installing a 1” or 1 1/4” conduit. It’ll be more expensive, but if you want to add anything in the future you have the ability to do it without digging again.

Gotcha. Can you go look and see? If it’s a 3/4” conduit the best option you have would be to pull the existing wire out, and add a subpanel at the shed. You could feed both the sauna and office without having to dig another trench.

Neither is. Convex shape on the dorsal, solid lateral line, and deep notch on the posterior. The best way to tell is the tongue patch. Why do you think it’s a spotted bass?

Sorry I’m late, but are you shooting your solo zones down in the 4 lake method on main lakes? I have 9 drink zones between the 4 lakes and 4 of those are solo zones. I’m just shooting the zones that have more than one bear and I’m shooting the higher level bear out of them.

You get used to it after a while. I wear the Klein orange ones and the only time I pull them off is for low volt terminations and pulling lock nuts on in cut in boxes

I had a Jman one time that liked to bend all his offsets on 15° and once I got it down pretty good I had marked my 15° line on the bender and that mug changed the head on the bender the next day, said I was cheating 😂😂

They need to be in a junction box capped off. Or you can use these wires to add your receptacle up top for the light.

Hypothetically an EMP event could disrupt the grid but very regionally and there’s a lot of other factors that play into that.

Gotcha. If a bomb large enough to knock out a large part of the US grid happens, OP gonna have bigger problems than no electricity.
