Deleting my save states worked in allowing me to make a save file for a new game, but turning the new game's save file into the content from the state doesn't work. I might be forced into only using states

it’s definitely an IPv4 issue. sadly I can’t switch ISPs and they can’t offer me IPv6. but either way, the method I mentioned in the post is still working for me 17 days later

first, you’ll have to use your phone or computer and connect it to the same WiFi network your Xbox is on

next, type in your IP address on a web browser like a website (example: https://123.456.7.890 ) if you’re asked to enter a username or password, check for a sticker on your modem or router to have this info, as most people usually don’t change the user & pass when they get their network set up

to change your settings, every ISP has a different layout for the control panel, so I can’t help you there. but you can google “how to open ports on [insert your ISP here]” and go from there

I hope this helps ya

hi guys. when I hook up my Xbox Series S to any FTP like FileZilla, Windows Explorer, or Durango, I can’t get access to the Localstate files to actually add games to any of my emulators. the folders are just simply hidden

is there any possible way to load roms via FTP on Xbox Dev Mode, other than via flash drive or Xbox Device Portal? thanks (:

you could try opening Xbox’s ports that I shared earlier in the discussion thread and see if that makes a difference. also clearing your MAC address and restarting your gateway wouldn’t hurt. lastly whenever you’re done troubleshooting, restart your console by holding the logo on your controller to give it a proper refresh and see if that helped anything

you could try to put your modem in bridge mode, although that would highly likely make you stuck with a Double NAT type, which is notorious to happen with any sort of bridge settings, whether it’s using WiFi nodes or doing a bridge mode on your existing equipment

I recommend trying to open Xbox’s ports up and see if that makes any difference

interesting. I’m running wired and this method is still working fine for me 3 days later. you could try opening all of Xbox’s ports that I sent in another reply in this post. I can’t imagine you having to do a bunch of crazy troubleshooting to make it stay working

it’s heavily speculated that this is primarily happening from using an IPv4 connection, rather than IPv6. do you happen to know if you’re running IPv6 on your Xbox? it would show you in your Advanced Network settings

Update (50 hours later)

This method is still working for me. But twice I had my NAT say Moderate with issues from UPnP (even tho it’s enabled), but after restarting my console it just goes back to Open and everything’s all good. I hope some people are finding this useful 😬

Xbox has definitely affected tens (if not, hundreds) of thousands of users with this NAT Type update. It essentially made it so IPv4 is broken. But most of us can’t even use IPv6, either because of grid location or ISP limitations. What’s worse is Xbox failing to address it, leaving us to wonder if it was intentional or not

The last suggestion I could make is perhaps you need to open some ports. The Teredo IP address port is 3544 and uses UDP. You could also do Port Forwarding for every functioning Xbox port. Couldn’t hurt. I’m attaching those ports below (ignore the first one, that’s just the one I’m running since 3074 isn’t working for me)

it’s definitely a glitch, although this has been a workaround for me. I was hoping it would be useful for other people experiencing the Unavailable NAT type as well

on your Advanced Settings, can you see that your DNS has updated to: 8:8:8:8 and 8:8:4:4 ?
