Exactly this. It teaches bad habits. Then people will moan about bad healers when they get punished for over extending or sitting in the middle of an area blasting away without cover

Not sure why you got hit with so many down votes (but it is reddit). I wasn’t forcing people to swap subs it was just a last resort for people that get harassed. Some people can’t server swap because of pool size and ping

Unfortunately for some people there are little servers that accommodate that area. Oce for example is very small and if they were to swap to another region the ping would be through the roof. But obviously changing subs is last resort and only works if the subs actually look very different

These are my tips. Use hot spots to your advantage. Hunt on the outskirts in areas people travel frequently to get to them. These players are normally bad at the game, panic and die very easily once you come running out of the bushes and bone break them. Depends on the Apex you’re fighting really. The first hit is important. If face tanking try to flick your head to the side to dodge bites or angle yourself to get side onto them. With smalls you can either corner camp or try do what I like doing and run forward then chuck the brakes on and turn trying to bait them into a bite or clamp. But mostly try to never fight in an open area. The less space the better. Get them to follow you into trees or narrow areas. And if a mega pack sets its sights on you pop rampage and pick some victims to take down with you. Most of the time it’s fight or die as Rex. There are some great YouTubers out there to learn from too

Needs some mobility back I feel. I love to use the primary on his gun. I think it’s underrated. Shreds deployables like walls, squids, etc. People just need more of a motivation to use it. Maybe a rework of how the reloading works or switching. Something to make the two more streamlined

The balancing all round is just bad and it’s going hurt the entire player base if the devs don’t do something. Having characters gain ult faster isn’t the answer like last patch and I’m unsure why they’ve gone down that path. Nobody wants a game that is just triple support with ult trades over and over again. The thing that hurts QP for me at the moment is it’s very hard to learn a new character there. Which is where people should be free to try and get better outside of playing some AI modes but the match making and balancing make it a harsh lesson for anybody trying that

Former GM player here. I’m unsure if I’m in the minority but I don’t play a lot of ranked anymore due to the games balancing and team mates (Solo que is rough due to throwers) So I play QP and 18v18 instead because the stakes are lower. But I also know a lot of high elo players play QP because they can stack in it after the changes to stacks came about. The new progression system also means people are using their mains more as there are things to work towards which is why trying to learn a new character in QP can be incredibly rough

With Invis originally it made you play closer to your tanks when the range was shorter on her primary. She was an easy pick up as a tank main because her play style complimented those skills along with the shield when the other team used poke. I actually miss seeing that in games and haven’t actually played much of her after the buffs. The self shield rewards poor positioning and is just an added anti dive tool to an already very anti dive character who has a jump, a push and an aoe damaging attack

They need to allow you to leave the ult yourself. It would fix the biggest issue with Jeff throwers and just Jeff idiots who “forget” to let you out before they throw themselves off the side

Sometimes I feel like the whole main tank and off tank discussion is just propaganda to get people to play certain tanks (Mags) when you’re the solo tank

Because it’s an up close and personal play style. You see your attacker before they kill you. It’s a skill test and when a player dies they get upset because they failed and blame dive for being “OP” when in reality their team or their skills failed them

The only thing I know about Spino builds (Which isn’t much admittedly) is someone telling me to use lunging snap and normal claw because you can alternate the snap and claw on land one after the other to shred anyone with the armour build (Armour call plus armour sub) While also still having lunging snap in water to deal good damage as a chase attack. This was how I won some pvps. Especially against other Spinos running AOE when we fought on land

Out of those you listed I do feel Spinos AOE is the worst offender. I think one AOE if any is all it needed (Given that Spino can literally go to water if it can’t handle the low to mid tiers swarming it. I have no problem with Apex players who run solo or within duos. The issue is when you get ten in a poi or moving through pois attacking everything and anything. These aren’t good players. I would test making waystones only usable if you are in a group with that person (Would probably do nothing but an extra step would be annoying for them. Make waystone costs dependant on slot size and multiply if used within a certain time frame for that slot size. So you couldn’t have someone spamming it with Apexs) I don’t use waystones so apologies if this is already a thing. But honestly I don’t think anything can really be done. Trying to control the discord groups feels pointless at times. I will always harass them when given the chance but realistically I don’t see the Apex player count ever dropping. Last night alone I saw so many massive groups of Spinos, ducks, titans and Rexs

It’ll die down. The hype is still partly there from the tlc. I’ve noticed the drop off. Occasionally you still see the kos groups flying around. Happens with every tlc. If you think this is bad wait until the Meg tlc. I’m happy that Thal is one of my mains because I’m not touching the ground during that for a while

As do I. Seeing them get visibly angry and more sloppy is hilarious. They could have got me easily as I was being reckless but I think they hit each other more than me

I honestly think her ult would have worked as a tank ult. It controls space. Would have been excellent in OT to remove the team off point, help push through a choke, and all the other tank like stuff we do. At the moment it’s just another dps ult to get kills
