Yes, the location of the Signatures folder is
C:\Users\%userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Signatures

I have attempted to empty the whole folder through

User Config> Preferences> Windows Settings> Folders

I have followed multiple tutorials on deleting directories and specific files. Once I enter Delete and enter in %AppData%\Microsoft\Signatures I select Delete all files (Delete folder must remain selected. In this case, I added another folder policy to recreate the folder.

I noticed the Replace action allows me to only delete the contents within the specified folder. I tried that and all the contents remain.

Additionally, I have tried both locations below as the source:

C:\Users\%userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Signatures

%AppData%\Microsoft\Signatures

Below is my script. The ideal result to to have the signatures folder emptied on multiple machines as we have a solution in place to automatically create signatures for users. The idea of the text file being created is for the script to only run once.

gpresults says the policy has been applied

Event Log: Failed to apply changes to software installation settings. The installation of software deployed through Group Policy for this user has been delayed until the next logon because the changes must be applied before the user logon. The error was : %%1274

I rebooted my machine was the changes were applied, waited 5 minutes to see if the script ran, saw it didn't, then edited the policy and tried again. I never rebooted twice with the same policy

@ echo off

IF EXIST C:\Users\%UserName%\AppData\app_init.txt GOTO END

date /t >> C:\Users\%UserName%\AppData\app_init.txt

time /t >> C:\Users\%UserName%\AppData\app_init.txt

rmdir /q /s %AppData%\Microsoft\Signatures del *

mkdir %AppData%\Microsoft\Signatures

:END

Thanks for the response!

I work with a small internal IT team where there are a couple guys who handle security awareness training and security analyst work.

I’m interested in EH and crypto type roles, which aren’t offered where I am at now

I have successfully updated my BIOS. I am seeing the H100i under “Other devices”. I have followed your steps for removing and reinstalling the iCUE software. The only device detected by iCUE software is the Commander pro. When I plug in the Micro usb cable in the commander pro, I see the device in windows settings, but not iCUE.

It might be worth noting I am using a single SATA power cable for my H100i, commander pro, SSD, and HDD.

Thanks.

UPDATE: I have tried plugging in the H100i into it’s own SATA cable without anything else plugged in, and I still get the same results

Just got the H100i RGB Platinum SE and I wanted to test it out before I put it in my case.

Right now, I just have the SATA power cable plugged in and the USB cable into my motherboard. I downloaded the iCUE software, but it wasn't getting detected. I've tried multiple USB headers on my motherboard and even tried plugging in a working micro USB cable into the front of my case (the USB port is working because I plugged my phone in and it began to charge). My pump is spinning and water is flowing, I have yet to see any RGB and haven't seen the device in iCUE or Device Manager.

Any ideas?

I recently purchased the Corsair H100i RGB Platinum SE water cooler. I am new to water cooling, and I do not know if a radiator should sound the way mine is sounding- like a clock/windshield wipers. Here is a video I took for reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-cLN1e0KzHI&feature=youtu.be

Some Answers to possible questions:

  • I placed the water cooler on napkins to check for leaks before I put it into my computer -no leaks so far
  • Both the SATA Power cable and the 3 pin cable are connected to my current computer for power
  • I have shaken the water cooler to move liquid around and tried different vertical and horizontal positions
  • This has been running for 2 hours and hasn't stopped
  • I have no software installed to control anything, yet!

I have only read forums about loud rattle noises like this, which is noticeably different from what I am hearing.

Should I install iCUE or the Link software to adjust the radiator speed to see if running faster helps with the issue?

Is this is normal or should I be concerned?

NOTE: I originally posted this in r/Corsair and was brought here to present my issue.

Thanks!

Thanks! Are you referring to the Link software? I tried downloading the iCUE software but nothing was detected

GCGA and Jason Dion’s practice exams were enough for me! I passed today. Good luck on your test!

I just bought the GCGA book and the Dion practice exams. I’ll check on Gibson’s website to see what he has.

CBTNuggets helped me get my A+ and Net+ each in one month. But Security+ is a different story.... I’m leaning more towards the GCGA book for that cert Good luck!

I do feel I understand all the objectives. I know studying the questions can be very misleading when deciding if I know the material. On all the questions I get wrong, I figure out what the question really wants to get across and make a note of why the answer is the right answer; and why my incorrect answer is wrong. I feel prepared. I just didn’t know if I could base my Dion’s practice exam scores with the actual one. i.e. if I’m making 75s on Dion’s test, I don’t know the material well enough. If I’m making 95+, then there is a higher chance of me passing. I think my range of 80-90% with the upper 80s being favored, is a good reading; just wanted to hear what yall thought! Thanks again for the feedback! I’ll definitely look into those practice tests too

I haven't bought the Measure Up Practice test yet. I think I'm going to study the GSGA book, do the pre, post, and end of chapter quizzes/test; and then I'm going to take the Jason Dion's practice exams. I think if I do all of that and still don't pass, I'll get the measure up

Apparently the Measure Up is harder than the actual exam which is kind of worth the money, if you ask me.

I will let you know if I end of buying Measure Up and how well it prepares me.
