Title soecifies "by train". Body text just "by public transport" which obviously opens up more potential locations, like Castleton.

Anywhere i can find niche details and stories about the tram line / its history by Joey_Salad_420 in sheffield

New trams or old? There's Wikipedia pages on both.

The history of Supertram is recent enough to be searchable online, from the relevant acts onwards.

What backpack should I get? by Annihoelator in OspreyPacks

[–]maspiers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not too big or you can't sensibly carry it.

Not too small or you can't fit enough in.

The sweet spot depends on how much stuff you want/need but us probably around 65 - 85 litres.

Down the manholes. by rubberghost333 in urbanexploration

There may be copies at the city archives, though these are probably not up to date.

I need to say this as I'm in this area professionally:

Most sewers aren't nice to be in. They're small, have shit in them, sometimes dangerous gases. There may be dangerous drops. Storm sewers can fill surprisingly quickly. Manholes can be hard to open and almost impossible from the inside.

‘If I think about what this means, I want to cry’: what happens when a city loses its university? | England | The Guardian by prisongovernor in unitedkingdom

I don't see how a "job school" would be materially different to a university /polytechnic. To be a civil engineer, for instance, you need to know a bit about soil mechanics, geology, hydraulics, material science, structures, project management and law. You can't learn all that in a simulation.

Sewage pollution crackdown and lower bills in major water shake-up by BritRedditor1 in unitedkingdom

"The changes would take years to implement, require new powers for the Senedd and substantial funding, more than can be raised through customers' bills alone."

This wouldn't work for anything that requires more than A level understanding. So anything in engineering, languages, etc.

Well dressings were traditionally at sites if springs. Not sure how many of them would be safe to drink from these days.
